Chapter II - Who Are You?

Nevada, USA

A woman walks out of the door of a house, with some bills stashed in her mini purse, with her was a man, who accompanies her just to the door:

- At least you make that money worthwhile - The man said with a disgusting smile, closing the door.

After closing the door, the woman, on the sidewalk, continues walking straight to her left. It was already dawn, the city was enveloped in darkness, the only lighting came from the streetlights, the girl was alone, but still walked with a certain fear, her hands were on her elbows and looked everywhere. Gradually the woman begins to slow her steps, until a point that was stopped on the sidewalk, leaning on a nearby post, and begins to cry, first a few tears escaped her eyes sliding down her face until they find the ground and crumble, soon after the woman collapses in tears, supported by the post slowly crouches down, until she is sitting with her head between her legs, crying non-stop.

After about twenty minutes, the girl, her eyes red from crying, gets up, and from an alley next to her, an intense purple light shines for instants, the girl at first gets scared, she immediately thinks about running from there, but when the light is turned off, a boy comes out of the alley with several cuts on his body; he had several third-degree burns all over his body; he exhaled smoke; and his body carried high voltages of energy, undoubtedly the boy fell to the ground without any strength, he was close to death.

"You're so pathetic, Ezekiel" a voice rumbled through the unconscious mind of the beaten boy, then a laugh echoed, then the boy found himself on his knees in a vast expanse, a dark and lonely place oozing hostility, a figure came towards him, he couldn't see it perfectly because his vision was blurred, it was only possible to see the eyes that glowed with blood. The figure, with only one hand, grabbed the boy's head from above, and lifted him up to the height of his own face:

- Let me out - the creature said to the boy.

Expressing desperation, the boy struggles to free himself, but realizes it's useless:

- No use to persist, I am your inner demon, no use to run away from yourself, in the end, you will be alone, or rather, just me and you....

With his hand, which was still free, the demon, with a sharp blow, stabs his claws into the boy's stomach, piercing it, the creature crumbles into a black goo that spreads on the floor, slowly the goo moves towards the boy, taking over his body, while he can only feel fear and despair.

In a small room, Ezekiel wakes up panting, with his pupils dilated, his stomach tight and sweating cold, his heart was racing and he had extreme difficulty breathing, it was like an asthma attack. With his trembling hand, he passes around his stomach region, in order to know to what extent that "vision" was real, fortunately or unfortunately for him, the only thing he felt were bandages and plaster bandages all over his thorax, up to his waist, reassured, he lies down again on the bed from where he got up scared.

After lying down, the boy comes to his senses, and notices that he didn't know where he was, it was a small room with some common furniture such as Closet, bookshelves, bedside table, among others, the window was open blowing a light morning breeze, with this he assumed that there was someone else in the room, in addition, Ezekiel reasons why his body was full of bandages, this indicated that his wounds had been translated properly, "There is something strange here, being honest, I didn't even expect to be alive" he thought to himself, lost in the reveries of his own thoughts, Ezekiel is disturbed when the doorknob starts to turn, indicating that someone on the other side was trying to enter, he quickly stands in his fighting stance, the doorknob completes its turn, the door slowly opens, from behind it, came a female voice:

- I'm glad you're still alive.

A woman entered, with medium long bob hair with curls, in honey brown, her face harmonious, a delicate chin in a face with soft features, highlighting her deep blue eyes similar to a sapphire, and finally her white skin, but with a warm tone, because of the local climate. Ezekiel is delighted for a few seconds, already inside the room, the woman had a container of warm water in her hands:

- Easy, relax, I'm not a kidnapper, or whatever, whatever you're thinking.

- And you are?

- You're the one who should introduce yourself to me, you're the one who suddenly appeared, all broken from an alley, and when I say suddenly I mean literally.

The girl tries to approach Ezekiel, but Ezekiel resists, walking away:

- Oras, thank me you're still alive, I know motus grants you regeneration, but oh heavens, you were embracing death. - He mumbles with a serious tone.

When he hears her words, he begins to remember, short flashbacks come into his mind of the battle he had with Erebus, and soon begins to understand the situation:

- Sorry... Let's start over, my name is Ezekiel, and thank you for saving me.

The girl takes the cue, approaches him, and tries to remove the bandages with warm water, forcing him to sit on a nearby chair:

- Ezekiel, I'm Alice.

- Why did you help me? The way you describe it, any normal person would have been frightened and run away, yet you made all these bandages on me.

After a while in silence she answers him:

- You are the first motus user I have seen besides my father, I simply felt I had to help.

She was already finishing the process of removing the bandages:

- By the way, notice, the position we are in, both of you are with your guard down, to tell you the truth, only I am, if I wanted to kill you I would have already done it, can you already deactivate your power, or do you think, that I would believe that your eyes are red naturally? - she laughed as she finished her sentence.

After Alice's sentence, Ezekiel's eyes returned to their normal coloring, which would be a dark brown, but he was still suspicious:

- Who is Kairon and Lily? You were whispering some names while unconscious, there were others, but I don't remember anymore.

When he hears the names, Ezekiel just turns his face down, showing he doesn't want to talk about it. Alice finally finishes the process she was doing, noticing the boy's body still showing scars, but there was one that drew more attention, on his shoulder there was the mark of a cut, apparently deep, without thinking much, she passes her hand over it, but is stopped, with her right hand, Ezekiel holds it firmly.
