Takayama, Japan
In a few seconds, Takeshi opened the front door of the room, Noah was strangely feeling nervous, that place reminded him of something, but he didn't know what it was. The boy's eyes were impressed by the room: it was totally characterized by Japanese culture, full of Shinto statues, there was a carpet leading from the room's entrance to a golden throne, where a beautiful woman dressed in traditional clothes from the Meiji era was standing:
- Princess Kushinada-Hime... - Takeshi was announcing his arrival formally, when he was interrupted by her.
- Come on Takeshi, just Kushinada, you could call me by my first name, I already told you that.
- Sorry princess, but I'm stuck by tradition. - He replies seriously,
- Whatever... - The princess, as she finishes her speech, notices the presence of the boy with Takeshi. - You're probably the boy we saved.
- Yes? By the way, his results are amazing, he practically healed himself, no surgery was necessary, even with all those burns and broken bones... the only thing we really did was stabilize him. - Takeshi's eyes shone with Noah's self-healing.
- Really impressive, I must say. - A smile emerges on his face. - Thank you Takeshi, now you can leave, let me talk to him.
The doctor just agrees with a curt gesture, then leaves the room. Noah was not understanding anything at all, after Takeshi left, he noticed that the princess, who was sitting on that kind of throne, was staring at him, this created a situation where the boy did not know how to react:
- What is your name? - The question breaks the silence in the room.
- Noah... - Before he could finish, he was interrupted.
- Interesting, your parents were probably Christians.
- Is this relevant?
Without answering anything, the princess walks towards Noah, and stops in front of him, facing him again, both were of a similar height, so she looked him directly in the eyes. Again the boy is frightened by this attitude, she acted as if she were an enemy, suddenly Kushinada's gaze changes direction, to his chest that was partially shown because of the kimono, Noah realizes that and ends up embarrassed, then she grabs his arm, and pulls the sleeve of the boy's clothes, revealing part of his arm to the elbow, there were some scars that indicate deep cuts passed, then she raises a little more the sleeve to the boy's shoulder:
- How old are you? - she asked as she drew a conclusion about his musculature.
- I'm 21 - A little embarrassed still.
After his answer, she let him go:
- Oh sorry, I just realized I didn't even say my name, I'm Emi Kushinada-Hime, but please just call me Emi... Anyway, before I go any further, you have powers, right? - I expressed curiosity.
- Calm down, before I answer you... Emi... You'll have to answer me first, what is all this? - He showed seriousness.
- You are a very bold boy... we are a NOT Human non-governmental organization, and I know what you must be thinking right now... "why does the name have to be in English, if we are in Japan? And I'll answer you, S-T-Y-L-E after all, glamour is everything these days. - He burst out laughing, as if he were boasting.
- That was not my question, but okay. - Noah was disappointed.
- Our goal is to find receptacles.
- Receptacles? - He expressed doubt.
- Do you believe in the existence of gods? I know that the predominant religions in the West are monotheistic, but... Take all these paradigms, these barriers that separate groups, and unite them into one belief... I have studied a lot, about almost all religions, mythologies and cultures that I have encountered? but none of them intrigued me more than this. - Emi moved to a part of the room where there was a curtain, which she pulled, revealing a kind of rock with some scriptures inside a glass box. - This language, it doesn't exist, it doesn't look like Egyptian heliographs or anything like that...
Noah was not impressed, it only aroused his curiosity, all this information was useful to him, so he paid attention to every detail:
- I couldn't translate that, I tried for six months, until I got an idea, my family is rich so why not use the money in a better way, than futile things? I founded this organization, initially with the intention of just translating... After a whole long year, we managed to find a pattern, it was exciting and discouraging at the same time, basically what was written was: "About a great confrontation was to come; Lucifer and Erebus, they will punish our mortal souls, they march with an army of Valkyries, they are no longer kind heavenly creatures, their insides have become like that of a gouki. We humans are begging for your help C... ".
Upon hearing the name of Erebus, Noah has short flashbacks and remembers the battle with the god, his expression changes, and he gets serious:
- The disheartening part of that scripture, is that it is broken... well and the name of the "savior" is only with the first letter. - Emi soon interrupts her speech when she sees Noah's expression.
- Erebus... I faced him...
- Is he still alive? According to some studies we have done this rock is millions of years old. - She was surprised, but excited at the same time.
- That one... He almost killed me, and my family... Come to think of it, I don't know how I am alive. - Her voice went from an irritated tone, to sadness.
- Besides these scriptures, we also found another one with the same language, in this exact place where we are, but of course in the basement. Strangely enough its content, seems more like a kind of historical record, it was what we know as the legend of Yamata no Orochi who was killed by Susanoo, the story is almost the same, Susanoo gets drunk and kills the great eight-headed serpent, with this he obtains the three sacred treasures of Japan, and marries the princess Kushinada-Hime...
Noah is surprised to hear the princess's name:
- That's right my dear, I am a descendant of a god, that's why they keep calling me "princess". - He said, pointing to the door, indicating the organization's employees. - Besides that we discovered an energy nicknamed Motus, it comes from the Latin meaning "emotion", and lastly we discovered that the gods don't die, not like us humans at least, that means they are immortal, but not the way we see in mythologies, apparently we humans are their prisons, these humans that "carry" a god, are called receptacles... Unfortunately the place where we took these scriptures from was badly damaged and we didn't get much information.
For normal people all this would be too much information to absorb, but Noah since school has always been a prodigy, for him it was easy to connect the pieces:
- But you adhered to all this, as absolute truth? Without even questioning it? - Noah questioned her.
- This ancient language, it is genuinely true, it is so fascinating! Don't you realize, with only three scriptures, this complex universe came into being... Norse, Japanese, Greek mythology and Christianity... Doesn't it excite you to imagine a world where everything was connected? Either that, or some crazy person took the time in his life to connect all this into a single universe, and spread scriptures in a language he invented himself. - He gave a sarcastic laugh.
"For someone who thinks she has divine blood, she's kind of crazy?" - Noah thought.
The conversation between the two is muddled, when Takeshi suddenly enters the room, with an affectation of desperation:
- Princess... Izumo is out of control.
