Chapter 3: Necessary Steps and Vision

E.L.H. awakens. It appears to be noon by the degree of light and the color. E.L.H. scans the area around it. The first major scene it sees is that the floor that he is on has an opening, or rather a massive hole in the building. The cause is unsure of, but light shines through, much to E.L.H.'s relief. The next scene is of the world beyond the building. Outside is a world ravaged by destruction. Skyscrapers are knocked over along with many of the smaller buildings below it in complete ruins. They look to be done over by explosions. Even more surprising is what is growing over the buildings. Massive roots and vegetation grows all over the buildings. Massive trees are also seen in the background, reaching the clouds. Strangely, only majorly flora is seen. Still on the floor, E.L.H. zooms in its lens on crawling and buzzing insects, but only they can be found. E.L.H. then pulls up its battery HUD to see that its battery life is now at 15%. Reactivating its systems, E.L.H. slowly gets up. It approaches the opening that leads to the outside and takes in the image of the current state of the world. The majority, if not all, of the flora is unknown. The insects are also unidentifiable.

"Reassuming Mission: Reawaken Anna"

E.L.H. takes out a USB-like cord and plugs it into Anna's power jack. On the side of Anna a charging symbol appears. E.L.H. pulls up an objective HUD.

"Reorganization of Mission Objectives.

Major Main Mission: Push Out The Devours From Earth.

Secondary Mission: Find A Way To Remove The Corruption From Earth

Important Mission: Recharge Anna To Receive Information And Directives

New Mission: Gather Information And Gather Parts For A Recharging Site To Prevent Critical Shut Down And Reversion To Emergency Power Measures"

With its mission objectives assigned, E.L.H. sets off to find materials to set up a recharging site. E.L.H. climbs down the building's opening and falls down to a lobby like floor. On the walls there's slots for glass, but the glass are all shattered about. E.L.H. exits the building and enters a road where there seems to be a major lack of vehicles, but plenty of building rubble. With no clear idea as to where to find battery and recharging materials, E.L.H. sets off in a singular direction. The direction seems to be north by the movement of the sun. Moving along the ruined road E.L.H. spots a surprisingly intact piece of glass that is large enough to reflect E.L.H. entire body. E.L.H. sees itself for the first time since its awakening. It is bipedal and human in nature, dark in color, perhaps due to the lighting and aging, 2 glowing blue eyes that move in response to E.L.H.'s eye movement. Standing at 10 feet tall and 6 feet wide. It has a hull for its main pieces, the torso with the biggest hull. It is pointed forward like a ship head. The headpiece is also pointed forward except for a hollowed part in which the lens peer out of. It holds a place for a visor, but the visor itself is missing. The arms are large and looks to carry a multitude of tools inside them. The hands have 4 fingers on each side. E.L.H. pops out the tip of them to display a multitude of small tools, perhaps for tinkering and small repairs. The thighs and legs are also quite large, with the front hull pieces being pointed forward. The feet themselves have no toes but is plated. E.L.H. lifts up his feet to examine the "soles" of its feet. It is rigid in a forward facing way. The waist of E.L.H. has an armored "chain mail" and is quite flexible. E.L.H. bends forward and backwards with no trouble and then spun around without moves its legs. The torso could move entirely in a 360 fashion and independent of the lower body. E.L.H. moves on after reviewing itself. Several paths branch out with the road, probably an intersection at one point, but E.L.H. determined that moving in one direction is probably for the best. Blocking the path ahead is an overgrown root. The root is at least 30 feet tall and has moss growing all over it. E.L.H. decides to climb over as to continue its one direction movement and search for materials. E.L.H.'s arms and legs transforms slightly as to climb the tree root effectively, with its arms switching to have small piercing "hooks" in order to create grip during the climb. Upon reaching the top, E.L.H. scans the area. Currently nothing moves out of place, but the buzzing of insects have stopped. E.L.H. climbs down and lands on its feet. Upon landing, thumps can be heard and soon a wolf appears from behind a corner, well at least it first looked like a wolf.
