Chapter 1 - The Call

Tears rolled down Rose's eyes, only to mingle with blood and mud in which she was covered and lay helpless. She knew she was dying slowly and there was nothing she could do anymore to save her people or her land. She had failed Eresia. Her life flashed before her eyes, each memory passed quickly, each memory bringing pain and sadness. The noise of battle and swords was nothing but a small noise to her now. She thought of her father and her sister sitting together around the small wooden table eating and laughing together. She wanted to hug her father one last time and tell him that she loved him. She thought of every one she loved and how she wished she could talk to each one of them one last time. She also thought of the one who was responsible for her death.The one who betrayed her and her people. Her father was right after all that betrayal hurts more than sword because it comes from people who have our heart. Bitterness and pain crept into her mouth and heart. She was losing herself now, losing slowly, all her memories seemed to be clashing into each other. She felt like she was falling and she continued falling till the never ending darkness consumed her.
