Chapter 7

" Oh God!, what happened to you?" Eric rushed towards Rose as soon as she entered the room. Rose gave a thin smile and sat down on the nearest chair. Rose was finally healed and able to meet Eric and his friends but she still looked very pale and weak. Lilly rushed towards Rose and held her hands but as soon as she did, she felt an electrical energy which forced her to jump back in pain. Everyone in the room were shocked. Jason kept staring at both the girls and for a brief second Rose thought she saw anger on Lilly's face but it was gone completely in the next second. Eric broke the silence by walking towards Rose and asking again " what happened to you?, where were you all this while?". Rose looked at Eric this time but was shocked to discover that she was unable to move her eyes from his. She could feel his gaze. She saw warmth and something more in those dark brown eyes. Something that did funny things to her stomach. She felt that there was something in those eyes that was calling her. She stood up abruptly and quickly looked at Lilly. She had to avoid this new feeling because there was no hope or space for it in her life. With a trembling voice she mentioned that she was very sick due to transition and had to be in treatment for three days. " I need all of you to stay here for today and tomorrow we will move to my place. Also, you might have heard by now that our village is not very safe at the moment so please don't loiter on your own." Rose turned around to look at Eric and said "specially you ". " What is going on here ? No one is telling us anything at all. We are not dummies you know." Rose turned along to look at Max, looking very upset and worried at the same time. She did wanted to tell them everything but she was not the right person to do so. " I understand Max but we all can wait till this evening for that, I promise all your doubts will be cleared." " What is going to happen in the afternoon, Jason enquired suspiciously". Rose's face became serious all of a sudden and she quietly said " This evening, we are summoned to the Great Chamber".
