Rose gained conscious but as soon as she tried to open her eyes pain shot through her entire body. She forced her eyes to open and after several second, she was able to focus on her surrounding. She was surprised to see herself on a bed and her wounds taken care of. She quickly looked through the room to find Eric and that's when she realized where she was. She was in the chief healer's house, this could mean only one thing, she was on her death bed. Her heart started racing and she was panicking because she could not see Eric anywhere. Rose tried to get up but her body felt too heavy and she gave up after trying several times. He was her responsibility and if anything had happened to him then she would not be able to forgive herself. Rose was so sure that nothing would happen to him before the transition because she had made sure that he and his friends were protected through the Time Stone. She had transferred their pain to herself during their transition to Eresia. That was the only way to ensure their safety. Rose tried to stand up yet again when the door of the Casa opened and a young girl stepped in. " How are you feeling now Rose?" Rose looked at the chief healer with awe and pain. " I am okay ma Trisa just feel a bit of pain". " I have known you since you were a little girl Rose, I know how strong and brave you are and how I have adored you but my filius, I never want to see you here again." Rose couldn't help but smile at her. She remembered playing with Trisa's braids when she was little and she in turn would playfully slap her hands. Trisa was like a mother to her. Rose thought of the many moments she had spent with Trisa collecting herbs, learning chants, helping with the sick. She loved the woman with her whole heart. " it was that bad huh?" Trisa looked at her god child and shook her head in annoyance. " You are lucky the Elders got to you in right time otherwise I would have had to shoulder another daughter to her burial. Rose, I know you don't care about yourself but please do not put yourself in danger like that again." Rose looked at her God mother who looked even younger than her at the moment. " Ma, I am sorry. I promise I won't do it again. I had to protect Eric and his friends... Where is he?" Trisa looked at Rose with worry and spoke " He and his friends are with one of the Elders. They are fine and had small bruises only." Rose felt relieved and was about to ask Trisa another question when the village drum sounded. Rose looked at Trisa with wide eyes. Trisa quickly locked her doors and windows and stood infront of Rose, focusing on the little sounds outside. Rose knew she was safe but she was worried about about the villagers. She sat on the bed and listened as a high pitched scream tore the quietness of the night. It took a victim and soon will be gone. Rose and Trisa exchanged glances and both with sadness and helplessness lay on the bed, praying to the moon godess to let the comfort of sleep take over their weary bodies and soon the goddess seemed to grant their wishes as both were fast asleep.
