Chapter 5

"Absolutely not Eric Osborne", Rose angrily shouted. " It is only you who will come with me, I am not permitted and I will not take these earthlings with me". Rose was losing patience with every growing minute. She had arrived at the Osborne's house early to prepare Eric for their transition to Eresia but instead she found Eric's friends waiting for her eagerly, more so because for them she was similar to an alien. She recognized the two boys as the same ones she had seen drunk with Eric but she saw the girl for the first time and she could not help but look at her with suspicion. She was very pretty almost like an Eresian godess. Her dark chocolate eyes and rose colored lips were her most striking features, however others may argue that her long chestnut hair captivated interest of onlookers. Rose, however felt a strange energy eminating from her and she could not help but stay on guard near her. Eric was not moved and spoke adamantly " I will go if they go with me, otherwise you can leave alone". Rose glanced angrily at the Agers but they seemed as if they were in trance. She realized that they had gone into hibernation to prevent themselves from pain that would be caused by separation from Eric. This meant the Agers sitting infront of her were of no use as only their physical form was there but their mind and soul was in deep sleep. She summoned all of her energy in trying to maintain a calm and reasonable tone but even she could detect anger in her voice, " Eric, I cannot take these people with me. Elders have not allowed outsiders to enter Eresia and we will face severe consequences if I take them plus they might not survive the transition." " It is way too dangerous for them". Eric seemed to contemplate the matter for some time and spoke again ' But you transitioned and you are okay, I transitioned as a Baby and I am okay then I am sure they will be fine". Rose was boiling by now, she was wasting precious time and all because Eric was being a child. She spoke again but this time it felt like she was spitting out venom instead of words ' I am Protector of Eresia and so I was able to jump between the worlds and you Eric, were brought here by one of the most powerful entities of Eresia, the Agers, that is why you did not feel pain. We are Eresians, they are not." Wide eyed the group looked from Eric to Rose. Jason, Max and Lilly were shocked when Eric broke the news to them. They did not believe him at first but after multiple hours of explaining finally believed him and decided to help their friend in this situation. They all had left notes at home and had sneaked out to Eric's house. Eric was devastated when he learnt the truth about himself. He could not believe that he was living a lie all these years and that another world existed parallel to their own. He was shocked, surprised, sad and almost broken. He had agreed to leave because he wanted to find out about himself, about who he really was and who were his real parents. Eric cleared his throat and spoke again but this time he sounded more like a pleader than a dictator " Ignis, is it?... Look my entire life has changed in just few hours, all I want is my friends with me in a place I don't know anyone or anything. Please don't take that away from me." Rose looked at him with empathy. She knew she had to be strong and think without being emotional but she also understood what he was saying. She knew the consequences for her action but she also knew that this was the only way to get Eric to come with her. " Okay, they can come with us but remember this was your decision". " Cool" shouted Jason. He seemed excited but Max remained quiet and even seemed a bit scared.Lilly, however, was hard to read. She quickly hugged Eric and he tried to hug her back but he could not make himself to do it. Rose looked at all of them once and then asked them to stand in a circle. They grabbed their bags and formed a circle, holding each other's hands. Rose stood in the middle and started chanting in Latin. She chanted loudly and quiet suddenly it became extremely windy in the house. Everyone grabbed each other more tightly to prevent themselves from getting thrown by the force of the wind. Rose took out a small gem from her bag and lifted it above her head, chanting even louder than before. The gem created a white light so intense that it covered the entire room and everyone closed their eyes to save themselves from the light. Then all of them started falling, their bodies stared to shiver as they screamed in pain but no sound came out of their lips. All they did was scream noiselessly in agony before they fell into complete darkness.
