"Lily." Amila called her friend who was busy reading some books. It's been three days since she has been in this state. Every day she would come to spend the day with her with new books in her hand.

"Yes, Do you need something?" Lily asked, finally removing the box from her face.

"No, But what are you reading?" Amila asked while sitting up on the bed to see what book that her friend was reading.

Closing the book, Lily handed the book to Amila.

"The back talks about witches and the powers that they possess, I read that they can live for hundreds of years without getting old." Lily said.

Amila read the book title and looked at her friend frowning.

The Witches Secrets.

"And why are you reading about witches, Lily?" Her friend asked.

"Because Witches have powers that can heal any sick human or that is what I read," Lily replied, keeping her voice low so no one will hear them.

"Lily, You know that it's forbidden for humans to have contact with witches, They are very dangerous and manipulative." Amila worried about her friend.

Giving her friend an assuring smile, Lily said.

"I know, I'm just reading about it, Nothing more, Of course, I'm not stupid to go to the witches' land." Lily lied offering her friend a warm smile.

...

After almost a week off, Amila's condition had gotten a little better but not too much though. It relieved her family a bit but the worrying never stopped. They hadn't told her about what the doctor told them. They don't want to make her feel that her life is going to end at any moment now.

"Amila, Are you going out my dear?" Her mother asked to see her daughter getting dressed.

"Yes, I want to take a walk, I won't take long." Amila replied, offering her mother her bright smile.

"Okay, Be careful and don't push yourself." Violet said, kissing her daughter's forehead before she walked her to the door.

When Amila stepped out of the house, She was welcomed by the morning sun rays Kissing her pale skin. She took a deep breath which caused her to feel slight pain but it didn't stop her.

Today she just wanted to take a small walk near their house, She didn't want to risk going too far and tire herself, Staying in bed for a week had made her feel bored, Though Lily had stayed with her all the time and read to her all of her favorite books still, She wanted to feel the sunlight on her skin as she walked under its light, Warming her.

After walking for some time, Amila decided to take a rest for a while as she looked at the trees, Where many kinds of birds stood on its branches, Singing, and chirping.

Amila smiled, feeling a lot better now. She wondered how much time was left for her in this life, But she didn't want to give up. She wanted to find a cure for her sickness. She wanted to live and discover more of this life.

Amila pushed all the negative thoughts out of her head and enjoyed the beautiful view around her. Wellspring is a very beautiful and flourishing town. Compared to the surrounding towns, Wellspring is safer to live in.
