20 Josh probes Amalia

The latter looked at him. "That Michael was gone for long hours but was found in his bedroom at the end of the day—about the apple that she did not buy, about the menus that I, myself, did not buy—the party at Talia's house—the prank call, and—she told me about what happened lately in your house—and if those things were not meant to scare you. I told her that these were something that she can't ignore."

Alfred nodded at what Amalia said. Josh's eyes were looking out, still. His thoughts were deep. He wanted to add that lately when they went out swimming the sky darkened twice and the wind roared like an animal and he felt something that was annoyingly creepy; he was uncomfortable at the driver's seat but ignored it when the weather went back to normal.

"I don't know what to do," Josh said.

By looking at Josh, Amalia was like looking at Isabella—the scene reminded her of the time when Isabella had to cry on her shoulder and her makeover smeared and her mascara fell.

"Did she tell you about Jan's astrolabe that says the family will face challenges from outside and that he saw three personalities instrumental to those challenges? " Josh asked Amalia as Alfred keenly listened to both of them. "OMG," Josh exclaimed. Something flashed in his mind.

"What?" Amalia said.

Didn't they find several footprints at the garden and signs of trees being uprooted? Fr. Robert must be right, Josh thought—the spillover theory. Could it be that when his mom and baby Michael were gone, she, along with Michael went back to her past to resolve the issue at the mansion? Peace came thereafter. But after a while, there were these strange occurrences again. She must have left out something… something unresolved, Josh thought. His mind was somewhere; his imagination was unstoppable.
