22 Josh asks Talia about the party

"Remember the party?" he was in front of Talia in the same café where he and Amalia, with Alfred, met.

"Yes?"

"Did you pass on finger foods that night?"

"No, I didn't."

Josh was stunned. He was there—Evan, Yuri, Suzy, Jan, and Fr. Robert. It was impossible that they did not notice.

Who was that person who looked exactly like Talia? Mom was not imagining things. She fainted because of those dead things she claimed. And who was it who ordered the enormous amount of foods at the café where she met Amalia? The hoarse voice—she said that the woman had a raspy voice so she concluded that it could not possibly be Amalia.

Josh went to Jan and Fr. Robert that same day. The things that he ferreted out of Amalia and Talia apart from the footprints and the movement of the ground at the yard were important part of their own investigation.

Josh told Jan and Fr. Robert about his theory.

"There was something wrong when we left the mansion. For a while, the spook stopped. Our life was back to normal. How to explain the little strange things that took place—they're not little—I would go by what you said was the spillover theory."

Jan and Fr. Robert were quiet. They were thinking.
