Chapter 5

"I have finished the draft in Cad-360. I have to make it a neat model, no?" Sarah mumbled to herself as she walked on the sidewalk, both of her hands in the pockets of her blue trench coat. It was her habit to talk to herself.

"How much time will it take? Hmm……. Maximum two hours? Ok let's do it Tonight!" said Sarah, determined to finish her work in one go as always.

She and Harry finished the draft in just one go. She worked for a construction company as an architect. She studied architecture design in Turin. Art was her favorite subject along with maths and so she got a degree in architecture design. Giovanni Regio, her Mafia boss, allowed her to study because she loved Sarah like her own daughter. Chiara was the name she gave Sarah when she first adopted her from an orphanage in Milan. Sarah was Italian but she didn't speak Italian often because she wanted to be fluent in English, the language which would help her find her brother. The sole purpose of her existence was finding Jason. He was her only family.

She saw a little girl holding the hand of a little boy in her hand. Both of them were giggling as they ate their chocolates. The boy tripped on his foot. The girl made him get up and took both of his hands in hers and kissed them. "You are ok now ok?" She said in her cute yet concerned voice. The sight melted Sarah's heart.

"Are you feeling better now?" she would ask Jason, when he would be making paper planes, a blank expression on his face.

"I am brave enough to handle a fever. And you know what? After seeing you I am feeling even more good." He would smile at her. His little hands were folding the paper. He was weak, would get cold very easily so she made sure he ate well and was all covered up in at least three layers of clothes.

Sarah smiled at those memories of them. She remembered every one of it. It started raining suddenly. She had no umbrella, but she didn't care either. She kept walking at a slow pace, remembering all the memories of them together. Someone tapped on her shoulder and she turned around to see Sam. He had an umbrella in his hands.

"Hey Sare!" He greeted her, his chubby lips curled in a smile, his dark glistening eyes shining in the light of the nearby lamppost.

"Hello." She greeted him back. She was happy that she found him. They started walking together under his umbrella.

"Long time no see Hugh?"

"To be honest, I have been so busy with my work that I didn't get time to go out or spend time with my friends." She started with an eye roll.

"You always have an excuse ready." He mumbled loud enough to be heard.

"Sam? You think that? I didn't expect that from you. Well I don't care if you think that way about me!" She scoffed.

"Hey where is the lie though?" He turned to face her.

"I don't want to get into a fight with you. I am not in the mood for that. So please. Stop it. Will you?" Her mood was ruined by him. Just a moment ago she was all happy but now she was more of a molten lava. Yes she was a short tempered person.

Sam was a good guy until he make stupid arguments and try to get you in a fight he was like that and Sarah knew it.

She continued walking, he did not leave her side though but they were silent, probably enjoying the rain.

"You still have the contact of that man of yours, what was his name again?" She remembered what she wanted to ask him.

"You mean Chris?"

"Yeah Chris. I want to buy a gun from him." She whispered getting close to his ear.

"You are buying what?" He again stopped in his tracks, made her turn around by grabbing her arm. His eyes almost got out of the eye sockets. He didn't know about her past.

"Yeah why are you acting like you have seen a ghost or something?" She removed his hand from her arm. And looks at him expressionless.

"No I...I mean you want to buy a gun? For-for what?" He whispered.

"Let's see? To kill you?" Said Sarah in a tone that felt too obvious. Sam was gasping. She laughed. "Look at you! You think I am really going to do that? Nah I was just kidding. That's all for security purposes." She lied. "Hey I am in a good mood today." she whined.

"But you-"

"I said no more questions. Please tell me where he is now and I'll go visit him with Marcus."She said impatiently, wanting him to believe her lie. And he did.

"I'lll text you the address don't you worry. As for the meeting thing? I'll go with you."

"No Marcus will do better. Your job was to tell me about that man, that's all." And yet again her sassy side showed up.

"Oh ah I remember now. I have sent the man to Milan too. If he finds anything I'll inform you right away. Carry got the test clear and he left for London last night." He is on one go.

"Oh great! I am happy for her. Well, I have searched for myself in Milan so I don't think you'll find anything there."

"No the orphanage lady said a man came to find you there last year but she didn't tell anyone. She was afraid of the Mafia. The man that I send threaten her at gunpoint so she spilled the beans."

"Are you sure? Is it really him?" Sarah couldn't believe her ears.

"It could be because by the look of it it must be Jason. The CCTV footage showed a man who matched your appearance and the one you described."

"Omg I can't believe it!!?" She said as she hugged him really tight. He had never seen hugging anyone before. She was always arrogant and rude but now her bubbly side showed up yet again.

She was so happy. That meant he was also searching for her. Great! But why hadn't he found her? It's been a whole year! What if Giovani, her enemy found him? A Lot of questions popped up in her mind, the answers of which were yet to be found.
