YUGTO 5: Time to meet CARDS [Their Leader]

[Vanilla's POV]

“Make sure to submit your project next week. Class dismissed” Ms. Lee said not even paying too much attention to us. She just walked inside the classroom, checked our attendance and explained the project thingy then dismissed us already. What kind of school was this again?

I shouldered my sling bag and waited for Roseanne to finish packing all of her things. “Vanilla! Let's eat snack together!” Brianna said, walking towards me. I looked at Roseanne apologetically and let Brianna drags me along with her. I know Roseanne already warned me to stay away from Kane, but she is the first friend I made when I first entered this school. You can't blame me with that folks.

“What are we going to have here, BRI?” I asked as we made our way towards her office. She just smiled at me widely, leading me inside her spacious office. “Tadan!” She said referring to all the foods on the coffee table: hamburger, french fries, kimchi and soy milk. “Whoa. You made all of these, or you just ordered?” I asked, earning a smile from her. I sat across hers and sliced the burger into half. Not only that, but I put the other half on her plate then she offered me some french fries and poured our cups with Soy milk. “I prepared all of these!” She proudly said while eating her french fries. I nodded my head in response and took a bite of hamburger.

“Who's your partner for your photography project?” She asked, wiping the hamburger sauce left on the corner of my mouth. “Roseanne” I answered shortly as I take another bite of my burger. “O-okay” She stuttered. I look at her suspiciously, but she quickly avoided my gaze and take a bite of her burger. “Something going on between you and Roseanne?” I asked which made the atmosphere a little awkward. I drink my soy milk and held Brianna's hand that was resting on the table. “Tell me when you're ready” I told her while wiping my mouth with my hanky and check the time. Roseanne promised me that she'll introduce me to her friend. “Bri, I need to go now. See ya later!” I informed her and peck her on the nose. I waved at her goodbye and she just smiled at me a little. “Be careful with Roseanne” I heard that she said something, but it's not clear enough for me to understand, so I just shrugged it off and went out of her office.

I was on my way to my last class which is Physical Education. I'm passing through the hallway when I heard something fell. Furthermore, I stop for a while and heard whispering. “They changed their schedule” I heard someone said. Again, I shrugged the news and head towards the gymnasium, a girl with a bangs wave at me and elbowed Roseanne. I smiled awkwardly and waved back. “I'm Lena, Rosie's best friend!” The girl introduces herself energetically. I offered her a handshake and introduces myself as well. “Nice name for a pretty girl” She commented, earning a cough from a girl beside her. “Hi Roseanne” I greeted her, earning a forced smile from her. I guess she is mad at me. I sat beside Lena then another pretty girl walk towards us. “I didn't noticed the time!” She said, scratching her nape. I smiled at her, and she gladly returned the gesture while offering me a handshake. “My name is Jayson” She said then sat beside Roseanne.

15 minutes passed and the professor is still nowhere to be seen. The other students are just playing basketball and volleyball and some are just talking to each other for all I care. As for me, I just kept quiet since no one is paying attention to me. Is this how she felt? It's lonely.

I let out a sighed and didn't notice that someone has already entered the gymnasium. It became silent as 6 human stood in the middle plastering an intimidating look. Of course, 5 of them were already familiar to me. I smirk secretly as I met the gaze of Tristan. “Just stay with us” Lena whispered to me which broke my eye contact with him. I also saw a glimpse of Roseanne looking at me worriedly the same with Jayson. “We met again, Moonstones!” The girl I almost broke the elbow cheered while waving at me. I mentally roll my eyes when most of the students started whispering to each other again. “You already met them?!” Roseanne exclaims in shock and I just nodded my head in response. I'm about to say something when a ball hit me on the nose perfectly followed by loud cheering and screaming from the students. I lost my balance, but regained it quickly when I accidentally held onto Lena's shoulder. Damn it. I'm freaking nose bleeding!

“Nice throw, Kennedy” I commented while wiping off the blood using my palm, then I heard some students gasped in shock, but I'm too busy breathing and to even care. At my old school, no one dared to engage a mess with me, bitches.

“We have more balls here, Moonstones” a short guy named, Jacob Triaz said while dribbling one of the balls. Jayson is about to say something when I glared at her. I don't need a freaking help. I inserted my hands inside my pockets while walking towards them, then halted at my spot when the distance between us is already enough.

“You're the guy that has been dumped by Brianna right?” I teasingly said while smirking at him at the same time. I saw his eyes widen for a second and by instinct another ball flew towards my direction, but I dodged it swiftly while plastering a smirk. Another human being talks to me. Wow~ “Did Kane told you about that?” another guy asked, but calmer than the rest of CARDS. His name is Joseph McKinley the leader. I shake my head in response, but a yawn accidentally slipped off from my mouth. “Oh my bad. Where are my manners?” I said with mockery in my tone.
