[Vanilla's POV]
In my peripheral view, I saw a glimpse of Brianna peeking through the doorway. “Look! We have a guest. Brianna Kane everyone” a tall girl named, Sahara Mendez announced. I clench my fist in annoyance. Knowing Brianna's point of view, she didn't intend to be seen by them. This Sahara girl always find us real quick. Does she have a strong sense of smell, or what? I intentionally blocked the view of her while looking at the Sahara girl blankly. “A guest? Oh, come on. What is this a pageant show?” I sarcastically said while secretly signalling Brianna to go. By instant, Joseph pushes me to the side then have a looked at the direction where Brianna was seen, but poor him. Brianna isn't there anymore. A smirk was seen on my face despite a bit of pain I'm enduring because of this unworthy hand gripping on my shoulder tightly. “Boring. She ran again folks” the shortest girl named, Jane Ruby commented that made almost of her members chuckled because of that. Nothing is funny about that though. Brainless humanoids.
“Stop this nonsense, Jane. Its so childish” Jayson stated, walking towards my direction and slaps Sahara's hand away from me. “You are not a kid anymore. Psh” Jayson added, earning an annoying look from Jane. “Tell your little sister to mind her own business, Jane” Tristan spat while glaring at Jayson. Oh, a sibling fight. Very interesting. Let's see where this argument could lead too.
I held onto her wrist and smiled at her. “I'm about to say the same thing, Jay” I butt in, pulling her closer to me. “Why not FIND a new business and stay away from Brianna Kane” I infer, but with sarcasm. I got a little confused when I saw Roseanne's fist shaped into a ball. Did I say something off? “Stop being Brianna's guardian, Vanilla. She'll just leave you in the end” the tallest girl named, Alicia said in annoyance. I just rolled my eyes at her, pulling Jayson with me. “Walking away all of a SU--” Jacob paused from speaking when I fell on the ground face first. Someone threw a ball at me again, but with so much force. “Vanilla, are you okay?!” I heard Roseanne's voice before I was consumed by black environment.
Time skipped: [After couple of hours. Inside Vanilla and Roseanne's shared dorm]
I felt a hand gently caressing the back of my hand while whispering something. The voice is somehow familiar, but I can't tell who she was. I'm still dizzy as fuck. “I-I won't let the same thing happen t-to you, Vanilla” the last thing I heard before I black out again.
[INSIDE VANILLA'S dream]
“Sweety, Yin will still visit us during the weekend and is not literally leaving us okay? She needs to study to buy you more candies. You want that right?”
A beautiful woman in her early 30s was trying to calm down her youngest daughter from crying.
“But me don't want Yin to leave! Me will lose a playmate! Me don't want! Me don't want to play with a random nanny!” The little girl cried even more, running her way to her older sister whose busy trying her best not to cry in front of her sister. This is the first time she will be away from her family especially with the little girl.
“Yin, p-please don't leave! Me don't eat candy any more just please don't leave me. P-please, Yin!” The little girl begged while hugging her sister's knees tightly. It breaks Yin's heart to see her sister begging her to stay, but she does not have any choices either. It's for her future. Their family's future.
“Vanilla, Van van, boo boo bear. Me needs to go. The teachers will p-punish Yin yin i-if I'm going to be l-late for school. You d-dont want Yin t-to get hurt right?” The older managed to say between cracking up some words and the little one shakes her head quickly. Yin bent down to match the little girls height and Vanilla immediately wiped the first set of tears that escaped Yin's eyes using her little thumb.
“Me sorry, Yin. Don't cry p-please. Me don't w-want you to cry. Me don't want you to be punished. Me sorry, Yin. P-please don't cry” Vanilla said, kissing Yin's nose while wiping every tear escaping her sister's eyes. Yin engulfed Vanilla in a tight hug as more tears came out from her eyes.
“I'm sorry, Vanilla. Yin needs to leave you. I'm sorry you will not play with me anymore. I'm sorry that Yin cannot tuck you in bed anymore. I'm sorry! I'm s-so sorry!” Yin apologized, but Vanilla just cried on the crook of her neck silently while hugging her tight.
[END OF VANILLA'S DREAM]
“YIN!?” I screamed, jolting up. Sweats covering my forehead. I'm feeling the same pain again. “Yin” I whispered, letting the first set of tears fall from my eyes. I miss her. I quickly grab my phone that was resting in the night stand. Roseanne is not yet home? I wipe my tears and dialed my mother's number.
“Hello. Oh! Sweety, are you okay?” As soon as I heard my mother's voice. I can't stop myself from crying anymore. I miss them so much. “Sweety? Are you crying?” I know mom noticed it already, since I didn't greet her yet. “Yeah, I j-just missed you guys s-so much” I admitted, crying my eyeballs out. “Oh dear, we missed you so much too, but Yin misses you more” Mom said makes me cry even more. I'm really sensitive when it comes to my sister. “C-can you hand her the p-phone mom please?” I asked while terribly shaking because of too much crying. “Sweety, she's still sleeping” Mom said a little sad, I nodded my head though I know she couldn't see it. “I will call you as soon as she wakes up” Mom said. “T-thanks mom! Take care of Yin and yourself!” I said, earning a light chuckle from her. “I will dear. You too” She said before ending the call.
