Chapter 1: Aimosan Kingdom

Clayton's POV

*Arrow shoots

"Nice shot sire. You're getting better and better with each day." My butler commented. I smiled and went close to the deer I just shot. I bent down to check it when a bird suddenly fell beside me.

"You're good indeed, just a little more practice and you'll be as good as me." Someone from a distance spoke. It was my brother, Caspian.

"Where have you been? Father kept on looking for you. Cassandra was crying all night wondering where you were since it's been three days since you left." I said.

"I went to Preacurin Kingdom to visit a long time friend." He commented. He picked up the bird and positioned his arm on my shoulders.

"How about you? Did my little brother miss me?" He joked.

"You wish. The palace was peaceful without any troublesome prince in sight." I joked. He laughed and choked me in his elbows.

We laughed and went back to the palace. As we arrived home, Cassandra, our little sister, was waiting outside with Tryce, our palace dog.

"Big brother Caspian! Big brother Clayton! You're home." She welcomed us. She ran the down the stairs and hugged us both.

"Be careful, Cassandra, Or you might trip yourself." Caspian warned.

"You can't blame her. She just misses you a lot." A woman from a distant remarked. I looked up and saw our older sister, Cora. She's the eldest among us. Caspian followed after her.

"Princess Cora! Or should I say 'Queen' Cora, did you miss me? I bet you do." My brother replied. Cora scoffed and said,

"Why would I miss someone who seems to be younger than Cassandra. I'm just glad you're home safe." she answered. I laughed as my brother frowned. Guess even Cora sees him as a child.

"You two really are alike. I mean I am obviously me more mature than Clayton." He remarked.

"It's okay Brother Caspian, Brother Clayton is a great big brother." Cassandra commented as Caspian carried her.

"What about me, Cassandra?" He asked and put on a cute face trying to look convincing.

"Mmmm. You're fine, Big brother Caspian." I laughed as Caspian frowned at what Cassandra said and went inside.

Tired, I went to my room and watch the kingdom from my room. Aimosan, the place known for it's bet hunting ground and where are all the best knights you can find than in any other kingdom you could go for. We are also known for having amiable people in the kingdom. We welcome everyone in different races and species. We happen to be the biggest kingdom and we continued to expand as we welcome more and more people to our kingdom. And of course, we attracted more enemies as well. Especially the Crosreseon Kingdom, our long archenemy. we used to be so close with them during our ancestors time but however, because of fame and fortune, the Crosreseons declared war and wanted the fortune for themselves. Luckily, we won and kept it but not for ourselves only, we used to expand the kingdom and shared it to our people.

the last was we had was 3 years ago. even though our kingdoms hasn't fought yet, it still bothers me what if they had bigger plans and attacks us from behind or in our sleep. We can't keep our guard down, so we trained and hire many men to take shifts on guarding.

But other than that, I am more worried about Caspian going out so casually. I am afraid he might be ambushed when he's hunting or the people he's seeing might be spies of Crosreseon. Call me a anxious but I am worried for my families safety.

My train of thought was caught off when someone knocked on the door. I told them to come in and it was Cora.

"What's wrong Cora? Need something?" I asked.

"Oh nothing, I was wondering what you were doing. I might caught you scratching your wrist again. You always do that when you're worried or somethings bothering you." She said worriedly. I was about to scratch it when he knocked. She once caught me when I was 10 when a strangely looking man came to our palace.

"Don't worry, I'm fine. I was just tired from hunting, that's all." I replied. I gave an assuring smile so she won't worry too much. She's about to become queen and I don't want to bother her much.

"So how's the wedding preparations going?" I changed the subject. It gets uneasy if she goes on with this topic.

"Oh everything is going well. The food, invites, decorations and everything else is prepared and ready. I'm getting nervous just thinking about it." She nervously said. I held her to assure her everything is fine. Prince Hayden of Eastoniel Kingdom got my sister pregnant and because of that they were force to get married. It's good thing our parents are close friends and even if he hadn't impregnate her, Cora was still arranged to marry him since our mom and his mom are childhood best friends.

I never really once liked Prince Hayden. Even Caspian and Cassandra aren't pleased with him. Because his family is wealthy and more famous than ours, he walks around and acts all cocky. he ignored anyone lowborn and dared not to even lay eyes on them, not unless they belong to his kingdom. He sure was cocky as hell. I also hated the fact that my sister is had liked him since they were young, even before Cassandra was born.

"You know you can always say no to the proposal. Who needs that cocky prince anyway. The child you are bearing already had a wonderful and beautiful mother, 2 amazing uncles, a sweet little aunt, and loving grandparents. What else could she ever ask for? I bet that cocky bastard doesn't even know how to handle a child." I angrily commented. "If that bastard ever tries to make you cry or suffer, you better tell me and I'll kick his ass for you." I continued. She chuckled and brush my hair with his fingers.

"Oh Clayton. My sweet little Clayton. It felt like yesterday when you were so little and only played with Caspian and me. And when Cassandra was born, you were so happy knowing you will be a big brother and vowed to protect her and be by her side always. And now you are old enough, you are starting to worry about me and the kingdom. I don't what I did in the past to have such a brother like you. Just don't worry about me, I am fine on my own and I can handle Hayden just fine. Just promise you won't change." She said softly. I sighed and hugged her. She does have a perfect family, it's just too bad that she is getting married to cocky prince and the child she's bearing has a father like him.

We spent the whole afternoon talking to each other about stuff till one of the maids called us for dinner. We went down and had dinner afterwards we went to our rooms to rest.

I'm lying in bed but I couldn't sleep just thinking about many things. Crosreseon, Cora, Her child, and even that cocky prince Hayden. Thoughts kept running in my mind til I fell asleep.

Third person's POV

An old man running down the forest, as he reach the cave where a group of armed men warmed themselves in the cold knight where at the very dark corner, their was a very large man sleeping silently. The running man arrived catching his breath before reporting to them.

"I have arrived, sire." He announced.

"So what did you get?" One of the men responded.

"Hah, There 14 guards in front gate and 18 in the back. 10 guards on each side and 22 of them roaming around the village sire. And during the day they increase the number of guards. That is all sire." He reported while catching his breath.

"What about the Royal family?" One of them asked again.

"Prince Caspian had returned this afternoon with Prince Clayton from hunting. Princess Cora and Cassandra just stayed in castle." He reported again.

"What shall we do now sir?" One of the men asked the sleeping man in the corner. He opened eyes and muttered.

"Cora, my precious Cora. Wait for me dear. I am coming for you." He muttered silently. " I will kill the child inside you and it's father along with it. Just you wait" He stood up and shake off the dust in his clothes.

" We will strike at them in the next 8 days. Let them be at ease first and and then we charge." He announced with a grin in his face. All his men grinned and continue on preparing their weapons.
