Identity Revealed

GRACE brought Yuki to a new room which was way bigger, cozier than the underground cell. The bedroom for the guest had a powder room where the guest could store her clothing and accessories and a private bathroom. It also had a bright balcony which the guest could use to enjoy the sunshine and see the scenery of Gregory Estate. The bed was enormous, and the maids decorated the room in black and gold. It was splendidly wonderful.

"Whoa, Grace. This is too much," said Yuki. Nervously. She felt like she was in a rags-to-riches fantasy.

"What?" Grace chuckled. "Don't be silly. I wish I could prepare a bigger room for you. But I don't have much time and enough servants to help me. Most of the maids went to the first manor to help with the ceremony for tomorrow."

Grace said that most servants went to help at the first manor, but five maids were already waiting for Grace and Yuki in the room. They assisted Yuki in taking a proper bath with warm water and sweet-smelled herbal shampoo and soap. They filled the bathtub with bubbles. The maids also lighted up some scented candles near the bathtub, and it smelled like lavender and mint. It was very relaxing. And they massaged and washed her hair with lots of care, which Yuki admitted that she truly loved when someone washed her hair. She felt like a child.

After taking the spa-like bath, the maids assisted Yuki in dressing up. They put her nightwear and cardigan away, which she had been wearing for days. Then changed her into a new dress in cream color that highlighted Yuki's beautiful red hair. The dress was comfy and lovely. When the maids wanted to do her hair, Yuki stopped them politely because she preferred to let her hair down over her shoulders.

Afterward, Grace ordered the maids to leave the room immediately. And she told Yuki to sit at the ceramic table near the bed.

Grace sat in the opposite seat. Her mouth began to speak. "So…"

"So… what?" Yuki asked. Her eyes were blinking in confusion.

"Tell me your wish, and I will grant it." Grace went straight to the point. She stared at Yuki and hoping for an answer.

But Yuki kept silent. There were lots of uncertainties and thoughts playing in her head. The thoughts occupied Yuki, and she did not utter any single word after that.

"Grace…" Yuki took a breather. "… you did a lot to me. I cannot ask for more."

"I beg your pardon?" Grace laughed. "Those were just formalities because you are a guest. But they were not my actual gifts to repay your kindness. When I ask what is your wish. I am hoping you can answer with your deepest desire at the moment. Maybe a dress, jewelry, a house, or anything. You saved my life back there at the slave house! And I truly owe you my life!"

Yuki looked at Grace for a minute. As if she was going to speak. But Yuki kept quiet. And the silence in the room was rather deafening. After a moment, a simple but maybe wild thought came to her.

"Grace," Yuki smiled kindly. "I want to go home. That is my greatest wish."

Grace sighed. She already suspected Yuki would say that. Of course, Yuki wanted to return to her home, which was the Human Realm. However, it was a hard wish to grant. But Grace could not bring herself to say that it might be impossible.

"You can live here. With us." Grace tried to persuade Yuki.

But Yuki shook her head. "This is not my home or where I belong. And I have people waiting for me back in the Human Realm. I need to see them again. Please, Grace?"

Grace gave it some deep thoughts. There were no such things as Demons teleporting to the Human Realm unless they were being summoned. Oh! It would be tough.

"I am not sure… but I can try asking Brother Damien," told Grace. She gave hope to Yuki.

"Really?" Yuki asked, with a glint in her eyes.

Grace said, "But for me to do that, I need to reveal to him about your real identity. That is the only way I can grant your wish."

___

"YOU what?!" Damien shouted. He could not believe his ears. Once again.

Grace brought a human into their manor. That was worse than sneaking a vampire inside the estate. A human was not supposed to be anywhere in the Underworld Realm. It was against the greatest rule of the entire realm!

Damien felt betrayed and cheated. And by his own sister at that!

At the same time, Ryan spooked at where he was standing. Oh, no! What did he sign up for?!

"Oh! You are in BIG trouble, young lady!" said Damien. He pointed his finger directly in anger at Grace.

"Brother, you are mad?"

"Of course, I am! And young lady, don't think you can escape this time with your puppy eyes because I won't fall for it this time. This is serious, Grace! How can you do this? How could you keep this secret to yourself?" Damien was disappointed.

"But… but I can explain." Grace tried to defend herself. She was not expecting that. Seeing her kind brother abruptly angered made her stuttered and almost speechless.

"Oh, yeah? Then explain it NOW, Grace." Damien could feel his heart just about to burst out. His heartbeat was crazily loud. "Tell me, Grace!" Damien pressured his sister.

Grace replied, "Sister… Yuki saved me." And they were back to square one. That same answer again! Why?!

Damien breathed heavily. "I won't understand it if you keep telling me the same thing, Grace. What do you mean by she saved you?" Damien wanted a full and thorough explanation. He had to know about this secret Grace kept to herself.

"She saved me! Do you need me to give you another reason?" exclaimed Grace. She almost cried. She was so scared of her brother right now. Damien never angered because of her.

"Hell, yes! Grace! I need an answer. A proper answer!" Damien sat on the sofa with fury. "What have you done, Grace?"

"Alright!" Ryan decided to interrupt the argument between the two siblings. "This is not going anywhere. How about we just talk and ask the human?"

Ryan always had a solution.
