Chapter 2 — People Either Stay Into Their Old Self or Change

Dawn's Point of view

It has been a week since I came back to life, everyone seems to notice that I have change. What can they do about it though, soon enough rumors will spread the whole empire and reach those bastards ears. Even that Katrina, she'll probably rush here to see it infront of her eyes, if I really did change.

I couldn't care less.

"Princess, were done"

"Oh my the princess really look so beautiful!"

"Aren't she always beautiful though? Come on, Hera Princess Dierdre is already beautiful since the day she was born"

"Your right!"

That again, every time they're changing me with some clothes. They will always have so much compliments, this happens on my past life either, however this time it feels really weird.

"I wonder what dress, we should let the Princess wear for tomorrow!"

"Oh right! The Duke's brother will be coming here today to meet you Princess"

"Alastair?" I asked tilting my head to the side. What came to that guys mind to come here? "He sent you a letter yesterday, but we weren't able to give it to you since you fell asleep early" Hera said handing me the letter.

I opened it as I started reading his letter silently.

Dear Princess Dawn

I know I haven't been coming to the Palace for a long time. And I am aware that you miss me so much..

This bastard, bold of him to think that I miss his stupid face.

So as a sign of apology, I want to see you and have some time to have a good talk with the Princess. I hope you'll be happy to see me.

"Princess, are you okay?"

"....."

"You look really—"

"Prepare, some tea and bring it to the garden. Be sure that it's what Alastair likes"

As soon as I dismiss some of my maids I can hear them whispering. I don't care though, let them think what they want to think. Alastair and I, known each other since we were young and that goes to his brother Kaiser.

Thinking about him made me sick, and it made me disgust myself for following him back then. Ugh, thinking about it makes me want to puke.

I didn't realize that I look like I was about to puke which made Hera look at me in worry. "Princess, are you okay?" she ask as she patted my back.

"Yes"

"Do you want to go to the garden now, Princess? I heard that Sir. Alastair will be here soon"

"Yes, let's go"

Alastair, just what do you want from me now? Are you gonna start annoying me again? I never find him annoying back then, I even think about it as cute. And now, I feel dizzy for thinking all those stuffs about it.

He really disgust me now, it's not like he smells bad, it's just I don't like him. He didn't do anything bad back then though, I just don't wanna trust anyone now.

Who knows he'll betray me on this life? I need to keep my guard up.

"Dierdre!!!" Alastair yelled and ran towards my direction and embraced me tightly "Alastair, don't embrace me" I said as I pushed him slightly.

"Aww, come on Dierdre you suppose to like it when I hug you"

"That was before"

"What do you mean?"

"I don't like you hugging me now, what made you visit me today though?"

"Well, I haven't saw you for months now, and I figured that I'd visit the Princess"

"And for that past months, Princess Dierdre, you've change"

"People, either stay to their old self or change Alastair, why don't you take a sit so that we can talk properly"

Following what I said, Alastair took a seat infront of me as the maids placed the tea and some sweets on the table. Alastair was winking on the young maids, making them all blush as it just made me shake my head.

He never really change, his still a flirt.

"By the way Princess, my brother, Duke Kaiser will be here too"

"Why?"

"Why? Aren't you suppose to be happy and starts blushing if I mention his name?"

"Back then you would always follow him around like a puppy needing for his attention—"

"Alastair... If you still think that I like Duke Kaiser, you should forget that then. I don't like him anymore"

"I see, why though?"

"His not worth my attention, nor I am worth for his attention. I figured that I won't like him, and just stay single"

"Your saying you won't follow him anymore?"

"Precisely"

Alastair looks like he was shock to what he just heard as I saw him just shrug it off. We both continued talking while eating the food serve infront of us.

"Kaiser! Please wait for me!"

"Kaiser! Kaiser!"

"Princess... Will you stop following me?"

"But, I want to be with you.. Kaiser, I want to stay with you"

"Don't go near me Princess, I've been trying to respect you for years but enough is enough, don't follow me anymore, it annoys me."

"Kaiser, your lying right?"

"I'll take my leave now"

"Kaiser! Kaiser, please tell me it's a lie!"

That was a few years ago, I was so love stuck by him that I can't help but follow him around. Wanting for his attention, now that I think about it, I actually didn't acted like a princess before.

And it's a shame..

"Princess, Duke Kaiser has arrive"

"Tell him to come here"

"As you command, princess"

After some time, Duke Kaiser entered the garden, with that usual cold expression he have.

"Hello, Duke Kaiser"
