Chapter Three - Strength Is An Advantage

Narrators Point of view

"It is a pleasure to see you today Princess Dawn" Duke Kaiser said as he bowed infront of Dawn. Dawn on the other side remained a straight face while staring at him. Alastair felt really awkward, his not use to Dawn being like this, as far as he remembers, Dawn would always smile infront of Kaiser and would even cling onto him like a koala.

But now, she's not even doing those. "Drop the formalities, why did you came here with Alastair?" she asked and took a sip of her tea while staring on him.

"It is the time of the month where you said you want me to come"

"What?"

"You don't remember it?"

'Did I said that? Well I guess I really did, thinking about it... Yes yes I really did. That's when I'm still head over heels for him' Dawn thought as she rolled her eyes. "Well then you don't need to do that anymore, I don't want to see your face... Nor you want to see mine, correct? It's a win win.. I won't cling on you so you can now be in peace"

The Duke was shock when he heard what the princess said. He thought she was just kidding but looking at the Princess face, he realize she's really serious. He should be happy about it..

'Why do I feel, bothered about it?' he thought as he tried his best not to show his real emotion and just nodded as a response.

"Well then, if you don't have any business with me anymore, you can leave"

"Shoo"

Duke Kaiser and Alastair, stared at each other as Kaiser then bowed and left. Alastair decided to stick with the Princess because he find her really interesting.

"Isn't Duke Kaiser handsome?"

"Your right! And also Sir. Alastair!"

"They're both handsome"

Those squealing, made the Princess ears hurt as her face turned grim as she glared at them. 'They're slacking off again, should I fire them all?'

"I'm sorry if they bothered you" she said while looking at the tea infront of her. "No, it's fine, I love hearing compliments" Alastair said.

The Princess, just let out a tsk, and just continued eating the food infront of her.

Dawn's Point of view

Today is so exhausting, I dropped my head on my pillow as I stared at the ceiling. I don't really know what I'm gonna do tomorrow, everyday is the same and it's always boring. Those wench keeps talking about Duke Kaiser, and Alastair earlier. It's not like I'm jealous, it just annoys me how they don't do they're work properly.

I'm thinking of, firing all of them. "Hera, tell Maria to write all the names of those newly hired maids" I said still looking at the ceiling.

"If you don't mind Princess.. May I know why?"

"I want to fire them, they're not doing they're work properly"

" I see, I'll be telling Maria about this now. We'll then I'll take my leave now Princess"

I sighed and closed my eyes. The emperor.. Didn't even came to find me, what do I expect? He doesn't care about me. I should stop thinking about him. It's not like he'll do the things I'm expecting him to do for me. Remembering all of the things I did just for him to notice me and take care of me like a real father, but I always end up getting pushed away.

I may be look like I don't feel hurt while thinking about those now, to be honest it still hurts.. I'm not a puppet that doesn't even have a heart, and doesn't feel pain from everything the people do to me. It still hurts, until now...

Tomorrow I'll be having a swordsmanship practice. I actually feel so motivated about doing it than before, also I want to improve my magic.. I've already manifested it, so I need to improve it. That way I can easily do my revenge.

If I want to improve my magic then I need to ask the emperor himself to teach me.. Since his the one who knows more about it.. However...

He won't do that for me.

This is harder than I thought.. I need to find someone that has the knowledge about magic and is good about it.

Right.. The tower's magician! I can just go and ask him, he can't say no to a Princess, request so he'll probably help.

I can just go and meet him tomorrow, it's already late now and my knight wouldn't let me go out...

Tomorrow, I'll make sure that magician will teach me.
