Chapter Four - The Tower's Magician

Narrator's Point of view

Kaiser took a sip of his coffee inside his office. His mind drifted on Dawn's unfamiliar attitude towards him. He felt corious as to what happened to her. It feels like she became a different person, not that he care...

'Why do I feel bothered about it?' Kaiser still don't know why, he wasn't used to Dawn being like that. That cold gaze who stared at him, even a poor puppy would start to shiver if it were to see it. Her once loving expression turned into a bored and cold one. The way she talks also change, she became someone new.

Someone unfamiliar to them, everyone would think she's possessed, but that's probably not possible. Or maybe that was the effect of her magic?

"It's confusing" he told himself and rub his temples. 'I should stop thinking about it'

"What's confusing?"

Alastair popped up infront of him, he walked towards the empty chair infront of his brother and smiled.

"...."

"Your thinking about the Princess, sudden change of attitude towards the both of us no scratch that, to everyone"

"...."

"I'll be honest, I also feel bothered about it. I don't know what exactly happened, I wanna ask her but she seems unapproachable now"

"Your close with her aren't you?"

"Yeah..."

"Before" Alastair sweat dropped.

"You know what she said to me earlier?"

"People, either stay to their old self or change Alastair"

Kaiser, then stared at his brother. "Still its confusing, when was the last time you saw her again?"

"About a month ago"

"Something really happened that made her change like that"

"Why are you so bothered about it though? Isn't this also in your favor? You keep pushing her away before. You hated her following you"

"....."

"You actually don't hate her do you?"

'Do I hate her? I don't think I do... But do I also like her?'

"Listen brother, we can't do anything about Princess Dawn's change now... This might be really hard to accept but.. We need to atleast do it for her"

"Yeah"

"Did you know this is the first time you agreed with me?!"

"No"

"Right"

Alastair started sulking as to what his older brother told him.

Dawn's Point of view

"Your ready to go, Princess"

I nodded as I stood up, I'm going to the magicians tower today. I haven't told the emperor about this, he wouldn't care about it though. It's unnecessary.

The maids opened the door for me as my personal knight bowed. "Blessings to the imperial princess"

"Good morning, Xairon" I greet as I started walking. "I want you to take me to the Tower"

"I would love to, however Princess you couldn't go unless you ask the emperor for his approval"

"That's unnecessary"

"How so?"

"He wouldn't care anyway, enough talking prepare the carriage"

"As you command, Princess"

Callisto's Pov

I closed my eyes to take a little nap when someone opened the door making me open my eyes and glared at the person who opened the door.

"Greetings to the empire's sun, emperor Abaddon Callisto Cyrano"

"I apologize for my impudence, however I have an important news to say"

"Speak"

"It's about the Princess"

"What's with my daughter?!" I jumped out of my seat as I stare at the person "If something happened to the princess, I'll make you personally responsible!"

"Your majesty, nothing happened to the princess... I overheard her wanting to go to the Magicians tower"

"What?"

"Why does she want to go there?"

"The reason is unknown, your majesty"

For a second I almost lost my cool, hearing my daughter's name. However what made her want to go the magicians tower? Without even asking for my permission and approval.

I'm worried that something might happen to her again I don't want to repeat the mistakes I did before.

"Her personal knight came with her"

"Follow her, keep an eye on her. If something happens to her"

"You know what's gonna happen"

"Yes your majesty"

Dawn's Point of view

This is the first time I came to the magicians tower. I heard many stories about this tower but those stories were just lies or the magician hides the real story about it, to protect its order.

Xairon was still with me, he insisted to keep an eye on me to keep me safe. It's not like I can't protect myself. I already manifested my magic so at some point I can protect my self, enough to make me alive.

We both stop in a huge door covered with flower patterns in gold color. I can feel a strong mana inside the room, the magician must be there.

"Xairon"

"....."

"You can stay here, I'll be meeting the magician by myself. Don't worry I'll be fine"

"But Princess"

"That's an order"

Like a puppy who just got scolded by his owner he sulked as I just turned around. I knock on the door and opened it.

The magician cannot be seen anywhere, closing the door I began searching for the said magician who is an enigma to everyone. I can feel his mana somewhere but I can't see him nor sniff him out.

He must be somewhere here, why is he hiding his presence anyway? It's pointless when he didn't even hide his mana. He'll be caught if I have more knowledge about magic.

"I know your here, I can feel your mana just show yourself" I sighed. A chuckle was heard as a shade of blue light appeared infront of me, the body of a guy with a long blonde hair, with a pair of emerald eyes appeared infront of me. He smiled, it's an amazed way.

"You amaze me princess, I didn't know the princess can feel my mana"

He smirked

"I'm not dumb to not notice it"

"I see, for what reason did you come to meet me?"

"I want you to teach me more about magic"

"Very straight forward, I like girls like that"

"I never asked for your opinion"

"And sassy to"

He walked towards me as I stared at those emerald eyes. Not gonna lie his beautiful. "I'll accept you as my student... If"

"If what?" there was only an inch of gap between us. I don't know what this guy is thinking but I can't feel any bad intentions from him.

A blue light started circling around me my eyes started to became blurry as i can hear muffled noises coming from this magician.

However.. I can't hear what his talking about, I don't know whats happening..

"If you can prevent this from happening"

Was the only thing he said I heard clearly... After he said that, my vision became clear again and the blue light disappeared...

I stood at the center of a beautiful garden... "Where am I?"
