Chapter Five : To Save Her

As I stood up in a so familiar place, I suddenly felt a deja vu. This place, right here, in this place.. This is where I use to play alone, watch the stars and admire its beauty, past memories began to come back as realization hit me.. Did that magician sent me here to change something? As far as I remember this is the time where Caryl... Is gonna die, it may still not this day. And I am not sure when because I wasn't there with her when she died, one thing is for sure... The next day or maybe this week will be Caryl's death.

I need to save her..

I walk through the grass as I saw myself barefooted. Now I remember, I use to run away without even wearing shoes before. Why is no one around here? Did his Majesty sent them away? For perhaps something important came up, in my past life even though everyone hated there are still people who stayed by my side, to keep me safe of course. But then, they actually doesn't care much about me, why? Because they think I'm useless. Those shits really need to learn their lessons.

People really thinks they're stronger when they're facing the weak, but would beg for mercy if they face the stronger one. It's pathetic.

The sun was hitting my skin, I wouldn't lie that it irritates my skin. I started walking faster so that I would arrive at my palace and change into a more comfortable clothes, I am wearing my night dress to be exact. I never bothered to change my clothes in the past, but now I should really take care of my appearance because I am the empire's only princess. And I am soon to be the empress, I am sure about that.

I walk past the guards and wave my hands signaling the maids to come near me. They saw me doing that but they didn't do anything, they stayed still as if nothing happened, acting like they are blind. Turning around to face them, I look them straight in the eye "You" I started. They look at each other, as if they don't know who I'm talking about. "The three of you, come here" I glared.

"Princess, you seem to not know your position you are talking to someone older than you—"

"And you seem to not know that your talking informally to the empire's princess,no? You must have know what I can do as a princess, I can take one hand or two, or gauge your eyeballs" I smiled sarcastically.

Their eyes widened in shock as to what I said. "I don't have time to talk to your pathetic face, help me change I have to do something."i paused.

"Don't even think of doing something stupid, or you have to pay for it"

"Send this to my cousin" I handed the letter to my knight

"Yes, princess I will send this to Lady Katrina right away"

"I didn't said that letter is for Lady Katrina, Xairon"

"Oh I see, I'm sorry if I misunderstood it Princess"

"Send that to Lady Caryl"

"Yes, Princess"

I am not sure how I should save Caryl's life, I also don't know if that letter could give her a hint that her life is gonna end soon. If she gets the point then I'll be glad. But that isn't the only thing I am doing to save her, a letter still isn't enough to save her, if everything goes wrong and I didn't do anything then. I can't save her and I won't be able to pass this test of that cocky magician.

Opening my door, I look at the hallway to see if there's anyone. And when I was sure there's no one I started walking out of my room. I heard that the cause of Caryl's death was poison, and it isn't an ordinary poison. Katrina isn't stupid to let her sister drink a poison that can't kill her, if she did then she will be in danger.

That poison has an antidote, and it is sold in the empire's market. If I can go out and find a person who sells that poison's antidote then everything will be easy for me. However, it isn't easy for me to go out when the palace is sorrounded by royal guards. Even tho I am hated by everyone inside the palace, they still wouldn't let me go out. Because then they will be dead by the hands of the Emperor. Those guards doesn't trust me, and they never will. But I know someone who could help me go out, there's only one person who could help me through times like this.

I slammed the door open revealing Alastair talking with some maids, no his flirting with them. I know his here, I grab his wrist and pulled him out of that place. I started finding a quiet place and check if no one was there, once I was sure I let go of his wrist.

"Take me to the empire's market" I blurted out without hesitation. Alastair look at me with confusion, as I just stared back.

"May I know why, Princess?"

"I need to buy something"

"Why not just tell it to your servants?"

"I can't, I don't want to"

"Why?"

"Stop asking questions, Lord Alastair and just take me there" I whispered yelled. "I'll be dead if the Emperor find out about that" he said.

Such a coward I rolled my eyes and turn my back, as I started walking "I should have known, that you Lord Alastair, wouldn't be of help to me. I shouldn't have walk the whole palace to find you, if this is the only answer I could get" I let my tears fell down from my eyes as I look down. If I can't make you go with me by asking you like that, then I'll do this, because I know this will work.

"I- I'm sorry, I should have known that you did all of that just to find me... I'll take you there, if you stop crying" in an instant I wipe away my tears and showed as smile as if nothing happened "Great! Meet me tomorrow morning at the library" I waved my hand and left.

That was easy, Alastair is really weak to crying people. He is so easy to manipulate, I'm glad he is because, my plan is about to succeed. Tomorrow or the next day, who knows when will Katrina poison her own sister. She'll die, she died before but now I wouldn't let that happen, because this time I will be there by her side.
