"Participants! Take your positions!" Midnight said.
We climbed up to our respective sides. Me on one side. The others opposite to me.
"Alright! Let's begin! In three,..."
I projected an eye on the ground and using it as an axis, projected further eyes all over my body.
"....two," Deku activated full cowling, as Shoto's hands turned cold, mist condensing by them.
"....one!"
Everyone except Monoma burst into action.
I guess he was waiting till the last moment to act and get all the glory of defeating me.
Heh. Dumbass.
As for the others, Shoto, froze a wall between us as Deku and Bakugo flew over attacking from above.
Nope. Not gonna happen.
I opened the eye on top of my head and stalled their momentum right there, dodging Bakugo's blast with a sidestep as the heat singed off my right sleeve. Deku geared up for an air bullet, but I immobilized his fingers in place.
"Tsk, tsk, Deku. Just because I have never used a top view to stop someone before doesn't mean I can't or won't, dumbass." I said, as a look of shock ran across his face.
"That was you plan right? Haru-chan has never used a top viewing eye so that must be his blind spot!" I said, mimicking him.
"Too bad. You were wrong."
I activated remote control on my clothes, turning them into a tactile forcefield.
Then grabbing Deku by the arm, I released their bonds, slamming the two off the stage, even as Bakugo tried to course correct with his explosions.
Meanwhile, Honenuki spread out his softening to the arena, turning hard cement into a quicksand.
But, I was prepared for that. I had already stopped in midair, just centimeters of the ground, by immobilizing my shoes.
Now, I activated remote control on his clothes, sliding him out of bounds.
"Damnit!" He cried.
Hehehehe. Shouldn't have been so confident huh? Now should you.
Right then, Dark Shadow enveloped me.
A blinding tactic. Nice.
I used remote control on the still soft pieces of cement that had flowed out and picked them up, hitting Tokoyami square in the back.
Instantly, Dark Shadow's grip loosened and I unfroze my shoes, slipping below it, and escaping.
Immediately, I ran past Dark Shadow and slung Tokoyami over the shoulder and slammed him onto the hard cement floor.
"Kyaaakh!" He cried out.
Wasting no time, I dragged him to the boundary. Time for you tongo out of bounds too, you chuuni bastard.
But even as I ran over, walls of ice covered the arena, freezing my legs.
Damn. I forgot about Todoroki. Of course he wasn't going to stand around doing nothing.
I punched Tokoyami in the guts, knocking him out, before breaking free of ice and barreling through the walls towards Shoto.
From behind a grove of vines exploded beneath the ice, reaching out for me, as the thorns tore through my gym uniform.
Alright. That's enough playing around. Time to get serious!
I removed the tactile forcefield from my clothes and applied it directly to my body, as blue lines ran all over my skin.
Pain racked me as my nerves twisted under the strain of burst. This wasn't the most efficient way of doing this. After all, my usual way was to apply the barrier over my body not in it. But given the powerset I have disclosed here, this was the best way to show consistency.
I pulled apart the vines, tearing them from the root as Shiozaki cried out in pain.
Then, running over to her, I grabbed her and prepared to throw her over, when I heard it.
"Recipro Burst!"
Iida dove at me with full speed, blue streaks bursting from his exhausts, trying to push me and Shiozaki out with him.
Oh no you don't!
I left Shiozaki in his path and jumped up high, as he crashed into her, throwing them both out of bounds.
"Hey! Cheater. Come and fight me!" Shinso called out, trying to goad me into responding.
Not that it would work anyway. I had a 150% mastery of trance. He couldn't even dream of mind controlling me.
"What's up candy boy? Charging straight ahead? Even after I warned you?" I responded, looking him dead in the eye.
"Hah! Not exactly. Now walk off the stage." He said.
I felt a string of force trying to invade my head, only to be crushed like an insect.
"Now why would I do that?" I asked, walking closer to him.
"What? No. That can't be happening! Why are you not listening?" He cried.
"Oh right! Your quirk was mind control wasn't it? That's a great quirk! I'm sure you'll make a fine hero. Once you get over this little whiny bitch phase of yours obviously. Unfortunately for you, mind control doesn't work on me. Too bad. You chose the wrong guy to fuck with." I said, as another wall of ice separated us, as I heard Shinso run off.
"Wait your turn Shoto!" I shouted.
This emo bastard was playing crowd control with me!
Wait till I get to your knockoff Zuko ass-looking face.
I'm gonna pummel you into the ground!
I tore through the ice wall, chasing after Shinso, only to be pushed away by another ice wall.
"Alright then. You want a fight so bad?I'll deal with you first Shoto!" I said, stomping the ground, as a shockwave cracked away the ice, sliding it down the slope created by Honenuki's quirk, dragging an unconcious Tokoyami out of bounds.
Projecting an eye onto the floor, I froze Shinso in place and dashed over to Shoto, who was still shaken from the shockwave.
Seeing me come near, he threw another ice wall at me, only this time it was large enough to dwarf the stadium, as the audience was evacuated from the seats where it landed.
I dug through the walls, my arms bruising a deep beaten red, my auto regeneration almost kicked in to heal me, only to be stopped.
No. Not yet. I need to give the impression that this is a costly move and not a natural super strength power.
As Shoto heard the cracking sounds, he leapt back, preparing to shove another ice wall at me.
I exited the ice cliff with a blast of ice shards as Shoto threw another one at me.
No! I punched through the oncoming freeze, blasting away till my hands reached, him.
I grabbed him by the shoulders, his right hand shaking from hypothermia, his breath ragged.
"Use your fire, Shoto!" Endeavor shouted from the stands.
"No!" Shoto muttered with virulent hatred, as he swung his shaking right hand to create a barrage of icicles at me.
I swatted away his arm with ease, redirecting the ice over to the side.
"Why don't you use your fire?" I asked.
"I won't. Because he is here. I will show him that I can win, even without his fire!" Shoto said, groaning as his right hand started to turn blue ever so slightly.
"Oh! I know about this. I read in an old newspaper. Your mother poured hot water on your face didn't she? Is that why you won't use your fire?" I asked.
Now, I knew all about him. But to not appear suspicious I had to goad the answer out of his own mouth.
This made him snap.
Ignoring his hypothermia he swung at me wildly, as I leapt away.
"What do you know about it?! It's not her fault! It's him. He made her do it! He broke my mother, he..he..!" Shoto cried, grinding his teeth in anger and humiliation.
I deflected his strikes, breaking away the ice that encrusted me.
"Did Endeavor hold her hand as she poured it onto you Shoto?" I asked.
He threw another ice wall at me as I barreled through, my arms turning bloody, hanging by my side.
"No. He didn't. But he treated us like tools! He beat it into us. You have to surpass All Might he said. He never saw us as is kids. We were just tools to him. Tools to surpass the number one hero. To do what he couldn't. That's why! I will not use his fire!" He said, throwing a barrage of icicles at me. Now without the use of my hands, I kicked them away as I advanced on him again.
In the commentator's room, Mic was going wild at the revelations.
"Did we just hear something amazing, ladies and gentlemen!? This is some serious dirt of pro hero Endeavor! This sports festival is slowly unfurling the dirty laundry of hero society in full view of the public!"
"Let's just focus on the stage for now, and leave the allegations to the relevant authorities." Aizawa-sensei said, bringing the focus back to the fight, even as the audience glared and booed at Endeavor.
Back on stage, I ran about, dodging the massive walls of ice.
"His fire? Tell me Shoto, when you have children, will you beat them too? Treat them like your father did to you? Are you going to burn their faces off because you feel stressed? Like your mother did to you? Will you use your children as punching bags Shoto?" I shouted loud enough to be heard across the stadium, kicking away his ice.
"No! Of course not! I am not like him!" He defended against my kicks, as I brushed past his defenses, grabbing his face with my bloodied hands, painting it red by the ears as I screamed inches from his face.
"Of course you're not! You are not your mother Shoto! And you are not your father! Your ice is your own! And your fire is your own! So use it! Fight me with YOUR power. Your full power! Don't insult the efforts of those who are giving it their all in this festival!"
He looked at my hands as the smell of iron and blood hit him.
He thought for a moment, leaving himself vulnerable.
Then his fire side rippled with a sudden blaze.
"You're right. Yes. I'm not my father. This is my power. This fire...is my fire!" He said softly.
"Good!" I said, patting his cheeks gently, before I leapt back, as he burst with a torrent of flames.
"I'm sorry for disrespecting you. I'll use my full power to fight you from now on." He said with conviction.
"You mean next time right?" I said casually pointing at his feet.
"What do you-" he said, looking down, only to find that he had been pushed just out of bounds, balanced only by me immobilizing his legs in the air.
"Toodles~" I said, undoing the binds as he fell to the ground in shock, defeated.
