Meredith was on the rooftop of the Maxwell Sharpe Building where she was being led by her husband through a winter wonderland garden. She was exhausted. She had been planning and preparing herself for that one night on overdrive to make sure she could get it all in time.

It was a last minute charity dinner that she pulled together with the help of Jacob, Brayden's assistant. Brayden had suggested it as a way to get him brownie points towards the social requirements to obtain the CEO title.

Meredith didn't want to wonder what would happen if somehow Brayden didn't become the next CEO. Anytime the thought began to creep around her she quickly pushed it aside. She didn't want to entertain that scenario much less jinx herself into living it.

Brayden stopped in front of a small table that was off to the side in the weaving rooftop garden that was created just for the night's events. Meredith was surprised to see her parents seated at the table.
