Night Flight

Meredith had made sure to forward the travel information to Alyssa and spent the rest of her Wednesday pretty much like the rest of her week, each day repeating itself into the next. Thursday arrived sooner than she expected but much longer than she had hoped.

She still hadn't heard from Brayden and that was to the best as far as she was concerned. She wasn't even going to think about what she would do when she finally spoke to him or if she ever would again.

If she could get away with it she would do just that. But she had managed to get through the week with the idea of Brayden as just a wizard behind a green curtain. Meredith was at home with any thought of Brayden buried deep in the darkest part of her mind covered with dust and cobwebs.

After her recounting to her shrink she put everything about him to the back burner to be dealt with, hopefully in the distant future. She knew it would most likely be the not so distant future and had prepared for that.
