My Brother

Brayden would have normally felt some sort of achievement if his father had visited him for any other circumstance. His father was so busy with work for him to have time to come visit his sons was a rarity.

Brayden knew his father cared about him. The CEO stipulations spelled out the idea that his father cared about the three Davids. But Brayden's father wasn't usually so forthcoming with his feelings. Brayden found it odd that his father not only came to visit but also his primary focus was how he felt about Brayden and he even spoke about how he had felt after the death of his wife.

Brayden had made the comparison but in reality Meredith wasn't dead. She was just out of his life and he made that decision ultimately when he set her free. If she never came back he would be okay with that as long as she was happy.
