The Deed

In the Red Kingdom, the rain that poured that morning cane heavy with thunders and lightning strikes in the cloud.

It was so tumultuous that one could see the dust that the lightning that hit the ground cast into the air.

Alys was thankful for the temporary darkness that was cast in the palace. Maids ran around lighting up the candles that lined the hallways. It was like nighttime in the Red Kingdom that morning.

"Natural cloak..." Alys muttered as she walked to the kitchen with purposeful steps.

When she had almost gotten to the kitchen, she turned the direction of her steps and headed for the chambers that was at the back of the castle as well.

Alys knocked.

"Come in if you want to... it is not like I have a choice now, do I?" Ceri Binner said from inside the room.

Alys rolled her eyes. "Your self-pity would soon end," she whispered.
