The Sentence - 2

Yet, everything was going according to Lily Malum's plans. She had wanted a situation whereby she'd get her hands on Seth without him thinking that she wanted to attack him.  She preferred a situation where he wasn't on his defense. Lily needed that for her plans to work -- the ace that she had up her sleeves.

The next thing, groans came out of Seth's throat. He squeezed his eyes shut and shook his head as if struggling with something. He didn't look like all was well with him -- it was as though he was choking.

Ruby watched from behind but she couldn't see what was happening with Seth and Lily Malum. All she knew was that she didn't like the fact that he was so close to her. The woman was capable of anything and Ruby was wary of whatever could be going on in her head.
