We meet a General and a free thinker

"Good Iris and Sydney are here." said Chris, as he barged into the room.

"That was some entrance, brother." I said to my brother with a shocked look on my face.

"Well yep. Now we need to get a move on." Said Chris, as he tried to downplay what was going on.

"Heard that. But where do we go?" said Sydney, looking over at Chris.

"Follow me down stairs." said Chris as he turned towards the doorway and left the room.

Iris and Sydney follow Chris down the stairs to where the others were waiting.

"Took you long enough." said Kyle, as he crossed his arms over his chest.

"Oh. Shut it, Kyle." said Blake, turning to Kyle.

"You want to go!" Yelled Kyle, raising his fist towards Blake.

"That is enough!" Yelled Chris, pushing Kyle and Blake away from each other.

"We will stop." said Kyle, backing off from the rest of the group.

"We will stop." Said Blake, also backing off from the rest of the group.

"We are not here to fight or mess around." said Kyle.

"So where do we look?'' asked Blake, as he looked from person to person.

"That is the question." said Kyle.

"We can't just split up to be dangerous," said Chris.

"Heard that. But what do we do?" asked Blake, as he pursed his lips.

"We look for clues as a group. It is much safer in a group then not." said Chairs.

The group moved.

"We should also find a place to stay while we are here, so that we are not on the street," said Kyle.

"Heard that, but where are we going to look for a place to stay. Will we be here?

Said Blake.

"Good question. I do not know at the moment." said Chris, as he thought about what to do next.

"Jeez, the person who told us to get moving does not know where to go." said Kyle, as he shook his head in disappointment.

"Give me a break, Kyle. It is not like you know where to go either. '' said Chris.

The group fell silent after that.

"Iris, do we know what we are looking for?" said Blake, as he looked over at Iris.

"No, we do not know what we are looking for?" I asked, looking from one person to another.

"I see. Well we need to know so that we know what we are looking for." said Blake as he indeed his head.

"I wish that there was a way to figure out where to go next." said Kyle.

"We know for a fact that the labyrinth under the city we should not go into," said Chris.

"True. Do not want to go down there, and get lost." said Blake.

The group kept walking till they ran into someone.

"Ow, watch where you are going." said someone, as they tripped, almost falling to the ground.

"We are sorry about running into you. Is there anything that we can do?" said Chris.

"Well, you could come with me and help me with something," said the woman from the ground.

"Help with what exactly?" asked Chris, as he looked down at the person that was on the ground.

Thinking to himself.

"First. What is your name?" asked Napoléon as she looked around at the group that was gathered around her.

"My name is Chris. This is Blake, Kyle, Iris, Sydney, Grace, and Claire." said Chris, as he bowed towards Napoleon.

"A Pleasure to meet you. My name is Napoléon. Follow me. I will show you what I need help with." said Napoleon as she looked at the group with a bored look on her face.

The group followed her to what looked to be her home.

"This way keep up." said Napoleon as she looked behind her.

"Where are you taking us?" asked Chris, as he tried to keep up with Napoleon.

"This way no time to explain." said Napoleon in an angry tune in her voice.

"Ok. We will follow you." said Chris, as he slumped his shoulders.

We walked with Napoléon to a big house; it looked like a mansion.

"In here." said Napoleon as she waved her hand from the doorway.

"Ok, but what are we doing here?" asked Kyle as he looked around the area.

"Quiet. Listen to what I have to say." said Napoleon as she put her hand to her mouth.

"Ok, we will listen," said Chris, as he went silent.

"Good. Now what I am about to tell you do not leave this room." Said Napoleon as she looked around the living room.

We all nodded.

"I was helping two people. A man and a woman when they attacked. It was like something out of a nightmare." said Napoleon, as she looked around the room.

"Did you have time to see what it looked like?" asked Blake, as he looked over at Napoleon.

"No, I did not. By the time I reached them, they were gone." said Napoleon, as she worried about what was to come.

"I see, can you show us where they were?" asked Chris, as he looked over at Napoleon who was just standing there.

"Yes. I can show you where the two were." said Napoleon, as she moved out of the hallway.

We walked to where Iris's parents were last seen.

"So this is where they were last seen." said Kyle, as he walked into the room, bending down to get into the room.

"Yes, this is where I last saw them." said Napoleon, as she walked around the room.

"What is that?" asked Chris as pointed at something on a desk.

"What is oh. That was not there the last time that I saw through two." said Napoleon walking over to the desk.

Looking over to where the desk was.

"Ok. That is a little weird." said Sydney, as she knitted her eyebrows, so it looked like she was frowning.

"What do you make of this?" asked Chris, as he looked over at where Napoleon was standing.

"When I was working alongside your parents. We stumbled across something strange." said Napoleon, as her hand grabbed the piece of paper on the desk.

"What do you mean by that?" asked Kyle, as he looked confused at what he just heard.

"Dimension hopping." said Napoleon, as she looked around at the group that was gathered around her.

"What are you saying that my parents might be in another dimension?" asked Chris, with an annoyed look on his face.

"That is exactly what I am saying." said Napoleon, as she looked over in Chris's direction

"Do you want to go there?" asked someone, as the person walked into the room where everyone was gathered.

"Yes, we do." Said Chris, with a determined look on his face.

"Not so fast you still need to get the relics that your parents were trying to get." said the person, as they tried to calm down Chris.

"Who are you?" asked Sydney, as she glared at the person who was in the doorway to the room.

"Oh, where are my manners? The name is Newton." said Newton, as he bowed his head towards the floor.

"What the heck, Is the timeline out of whack?" asked Kyle, as he raised his hands in the air.

"Wait, why is a person from the British industrial revolution in the French revolution?" asked Chris, with a worried look clearly plastered on his face.

Everyone looked at Chris.

"Chris, did you not just hear that the timeline is out of whack?" asked Sydney, as she looked over at Iris's brother.

"I see sorry I was not paying close attention to what was being said." Said Chris, as he shrugged his shoulders.

"That is not a good excuse to not pay attention, brother. You are old, so you should know better. " I said, as I looked at my brother with an angry expression on my face.

"Iris is right, you need to pay more attention. I know everything is weird at the moment. That does not mean that you can't pay attention." said Kyle as he looked over at Chris.

Everyone fell silent in the room.

"We need to think of a plan so that we can get back to our own time. Since the repercussions of staying here can't be good at all." said Claire, as she looked around the room.

"The girl has a point. You can't stay here, it is too dangerous." said Newton as he looked around at the group that was gathered there.

"You know that is the same about you, right?" I asked, as I looked over at where Newton was standing.

"You are right about that. I need to get back to my time." said Newton as he raised his hands in the air.

"What about if someone is out of time but they are staying with someone who is not?" I asked, as Looked over at both Newton, and Napoleon.

"That is a good question. One that I have no answer for at the moment." said Newton, as he glanced around the room.

"Wait Newton, how long have you been in this place?" asked Blake, staring at Newton.

"I stayed here one month so far," said Newton.

"Has anything happened during that month that should not have happened?" I asked, looking at Newton.

"Nothing out of the ordinary." Said Napoleon, as she looked from one person to another.

"That is interesting. That means that we can say in a different era it is only who is here right now." I said, as I looked from one person to another.

"Ok, then will that get out of the way? What do we discuss right now?" asked Grace as she looked around the room.

"We need to figure out what the next step here is," said Blake, as he thought about what to do.

"Well, for starters, we need to get the time machine up and running." I said, looking around the room. "Luckily, there is no one here that can figure out how to work that."

"That is true. Still, that being said we should get the time-machine parts." said Sydney.

"Ok, so the plan is to get the parts that are probably scattered around Paris, then find the time-machine. After all of that, repair the time machine." said Chris, as he looked from one person to another.

"Yes, that seems to be all of it. With that said. We still don't know were in Paris the parts of the time-machine have landed." said Grace, as she looked at both Newton, and Napoleon.

"We could have some people find the pieces for you," said Newton, as he looked around at the group.

"That might not be a great idea, since they might think it is witchcraft or something." I said, as I looked from one person to another.

"That makes sense to me. I have something to go along with it. What groups do we split into?" asked Chris.

"There are seven of us, so this is going to be hard to split up in a good amount." I said, look around at the people gathered in the room.

"Ok, then what are the groups going to be?" asked Chris, as he looked around at the group.

"I have a suggestion for group selection. If anyone wants to hear." said Claire, as she put her hands out.

"Sure what is this suggestion that you thought up Claire?" asked Grace, as she looked over at her sister.

"We split up into two groups of three, and a group of two." said Claire beaming with pride at what she just said.

"That does not have back, but what are the groups going to be." said Sydney, looking around the room at the people that are gathered there.

"That is so true. We need to figure that out." I said.

As we thought about who was going to be in what group.

"Well, it is getting late, so I think we should call it a night for the moment." said Newton, as he turned and left the room.

"I agree with Newton on this one. It is getting late. Why doesn't everyone that is here shut their eyes." said Napoleon, as she left the room that everyone was in.

"Ok, that makes a lot of sense to me. That being said, we don't know what rooms we are going to be in tonight." said Sydney, as she looked around at the romaine of the group.

"True, that is a bit of an oversight on their part. In not telling us where the guests sleep in this house." said Chris, as he walked around the room.

"I agree with Chris on this one. Where are we going to sleep? Do they think we know what rooms are in this place." said Kyle, as he lifted his hair.

"That is a brilliant point that the two of you are making. I wonder if thoughts are still awake." I said, as I looked around at the group.

Everyone felt silent, so silent in fact that you could hear a pin drop.

"We also need to see what groups we are going to be a part of." said Chris, and he stretched his hands and arms over his head.

"Well, it is getting late, so I think we should pick this up in the morning." said Kyle, as he turned and walked out of the room.

"Ok, then everyone goes and finds a room to sleep in for the night. Then in the morning we can discuss more about the groups that we will be in." said Blake, as he too left the room.

"Well then, good night everyone. See you in the morning." I said, as I walked out of the room.

Everyone else followed that.

"Is everyone here?" asked Chris, as he looked around the living room.

"I believe so. Why are you asking that ridiculous question?" asked Kyle as he looked around the room. To see if everyone was gathering there.

"Kyle, it is not a ridiculous question at all." I said, as I shook my head.

"Sorry I guess." said Kyle as he lifted his hands over his head. "Still, we need to figure out what groups we are going to be."

"That is a good question. Let me think for a few moments on that." said Chris, as he lifted his hand to his chin.

"There are seven in our group, so that is going to be the default to figure out." I said, I looked from one person to another. "I got nothing at the moment."

"I have a suggestion if you don't mind me saying." said Napoleon, as she walked into the living room.

"Ok, let's hear what your suggestion is." said Sydney, as she walked over to Napoleon.

"Can I have Blake, Chris, and Kyle stand in the doorway." said Napoleon, as she pointed next to her. "Ok, now that the boys are next to me. Let me see who will be in a group with them."

"What is the next step?" asked Sydney, as she looked around at everyone that was standing

"Does anyone have a piece of paper around here?" asked Napoleon as she looked at the group.

"Here you Napoleon." said Newton as he handed a piece of paper to Napoleon.

"Write your names down on a slip of paper." said Napoleon, as she took the piece of paper into six pieces. Then handed a quill and ink to Claire.

"Write our names on a slip of paper." said Claire as she wrote her name down. "What are we going to do with the names on the papers when we are in our groups?"

"That is a good question, let me see what we can do." I said, looking at the room. "What about burning it up in the fire?"

"That makes sense to me." said Chris, as he looked at Napoleon and Newton.

"Does this place have a fireplace anywhere?"

"Yes, this place has a fireplace." said Napoleon, as she pointed at an ornate fireplace.

"Ok, then who is the first person to join the men in the three groups." Said Newton, as he looked around at the group.

"Do we get to decide for what people we can choose?" asked Kyle, as he looked around the room. Going from one person to another. "You're going to make it hard to choose which of the girls to choose for the groups."

"That is the point." Said Napoleon, with a creepy smile on her face.

"I am crept out with that smile that you are making." said Chris, as he looked to see how the groups would be made.

"Newton, can you please bring a piece of paper, and a jar," said Napoleon as she looked at Newton. Newton turned around and left the living room. "Now that he is out of the room. Should we discuss what areas of Paris you will search?"

"That is a good idea," said Napoleon.

"What are the areas that we need to search?" I asked, as I looked around at the group."Just trying to see what the three areas are."

"Let me see what the three areas are in descending order. 1. Notre Dame. 2. Place de la Bastille…" said Napoleon as her voice trailed off.

"Napoleon, what are you not telling us?" asked Kyle, as he turned and looked Napoleon dead in the eyes. "What is the last place that the parts fell into?"

"The Bastille is the last place that we saw the pieces that you need." said Napoleon as she looked around at the group of people that was standing there.

"That is interesting to hear. Is now the time to pick the people for the groups, right?" asked Chris, as he smiled at the group.

"Yes, it is time to pick the people for the groups," said Napoleon.

"Who should be in the groups?" I asked, as I narrowed my eyebrows.

"Should the boys go from the first letter of their name?" asked Claire, as she smiled at the rest of the group.

"That makes things easier." Said Chris.

"That means that you are the second person to choose, brother," I said.

"You don't need to rub it in sis." said Chris with an annoyed look on his face.

"Chris, you know what you did. So I think you deceived that response." said Kyle, as he shook his head. "Blake, you are the first person to decide."

"Oh, right. I am the first one to decide." said Blake as he looked at the four girls. "Four girls, and three guys. One of us will bring two of the girls around, right?"

"I see what you are saying Blake." said Chris as he put his right hand on Blake's right shoulder.

"What did I say something wrong?" asked Blake as he looked around at the rest of the group.

Everyone in the room laughed out loud.

"Nothing is wrong. Stop laughing at me." said Blake, as He blushed.

"Ok, everyone, time to pick your groups." said Napoleon, as she clapped her hands together.

"Right, let's pick the groups." Said Blake as he looked around at the four girls that were standing in the living room.

"Claire will be in my group and that is it." said Blake as he smiled.

"Ok, next is Chris to pick his group." Said Napoleon, as she nodded her head.

"Sydney, and my sister." said Chris, as he looked over at his sister.

"I see you choose thoughts two," said Kyle, looking over at where Chris was standing. "Not that I am surprised about that."

"What! Did I do something wrong?" asked Chris, as confusion came across his face.

"No, you said nothing wrong." I said, walking over to my brother.

Clapping her hands together. "Now that all the groups are, we need to figure out where each group will go," said Napoleon, walking over to the living room table, and picking up the pieces of paper."The three places on the pieces of paper. One for each group."

Napoleon turned around and walked to each of the groups. Handing one piece of paper to each of the groups.

"Cool, my group got Notre Dame. Let's get a move on." Said Chris, as he turned around and walked out of the living room.

"Do you think we should follow him out of the mansion?" I asked, looking over at Sydney.

"Yes, we should get a move on." said Sydney, as she pushed towards the front door.

"There you two are. Let's get a move on." Said Chris as he walked out the front door of the mansion.

"My group got the Place de la Bastille," said Blake, walking over to Grace.

"That leaves the Basile for my group," said Kyle.

"With Chris's group already gone. We should go as well." said Blake, nodding over at Kyle.

"Heard that then. What are we waiting? For let's get a move on." said Kyle, as he and Claire walked out the door.

"You don't need to tell me twice." said Blake, as he followed Kyle out the front door.

"Well, see you later than," said Kyle, waving his hand in Blake's direction.

"Ya, see you soon I guess," said Blake.

"Iris, where do you think the piece of the teleporter is?" asked Chris, as he looked over at his sister. "We don't know what the piece of the teleporter looks like?"

"Can I see the piece of paper?" I asked, looking over at my brother.

Just as I said that, a vision flashed over my eyes. I saw two people, a boy, and a girl trapped in ice.

Stumbling backwards towards the door of Notre Dame. "What was that just now?" I said, looking around in confusion.

"What was what? I don't know what you are talking about?" asked Sydney, looking over at Iris with a concerned look on her face.

"Sydney I am ok. You don't need to worry about it." I said, looking over at Sydney.

"That does not make me feel better," said Sydney, staring at Iris.

Look at both Iris and Sydney. "Here is the piece that we are trying to get back." said Chris, as he held out the paper in the direction of the two women.

Grabbing the piece of paper from her brother. "It looks to me like the piece that we are looking for is a transponder." I said, as I nodded my hand in affirmation.

"Do you know how big it is?" asked Sydney, looking over at Iris.

"Let me see it shows on here that it is 10x25 inches long," I said, as I looked around Notre Dame.

"What are you trying to do?" asked Chris as he looked around the building that we were in.

"I am trying to see if I can see where the transponder is," I said, as I looked at my brother. Will crossed my arms over my chest.

"Well, we will get nowhere just standing here. Let's move on and get that transponder." said Sydney, as she looked very confident around Notre Dame.

"You heard her, let's move on and find that transponder." said Chris, as he moved to start the search for the transponder.

As we walked around Notre Dame trying to find the transponder. We look under everything that we could look under. We also looked around at the upper levels as well.

"I think I found the transponder. At least that is what I think," said Sydney as she yelled from the balcony.

"We are coming to you then," I said, heading to the stairs to the balconies.

Chris and I walked up the stairs to the balcony where Sydney was standing.

"Where is the transponder at?" I asked, looking around the balcony.

"The transponder is right here in my right hand," said Sydney, as she held out her right hand.

"That is amazing now. All that we have to do is go see the others," I said, with a smile creeping across my face.

"That makes sense to me. That being said, how are we going to get it back?" asked Sydney as she looked at the clothes that she was wearing.

"That is true we doing have pockets in these clothes." I said, as I nodded my head in affirmation. "Oh, We have the purses that we brought with us as well."

"That makes sense to me. Let me see if I can put the transponder into my purse." said Sydney, as she opened the purse on her side.

"That is done now. We need to meet up with the others." said Chris turning, and walking towards the stairs. Turning to the girls. "Well, are you coming, or are you just going to stand there."

"Following you, brother." I said, walking towards the stairs. Then turning towards Sydney. "Well, are you following Syd."

"Yes, I am right behind you two." said Sydney, walking over to Iris and Chris.

As we walked out of Notre Dame.

"Why did I just get shivers just now," I said looking around to see why that happened.

"What is that thing standing right there?"

"What are you saying right now?" said Sydney, looking around the area. Failing on a Shadow. Not a silhouetted figure.

"Let us see what it does. See if it follows us or not," said Chris, walking around the corner of Notre Dame.

"Agreed, let;s get a move on." I said, trying to keep up with her brother. "Why are you walking so fast?"

"Do you want me to walk slower?" asked Chris, looking down at his sister.

"Yes, that would be great, brother," I said, picking up the pace.

"Ok, let us get a move on," said Sydney, pushing Iris and Chris apart.

Hair stood on her head. "I think something is off." I said, looking around the street.

"What are you talking about?" asked Sydney, looking over at Iris as we walked to the meetup point.

"What is the next step after we meet up with the other groups?" asked Chris, looking around at both Iris and Sydney.

"It is back at the mansion, right?" asked Sydney, as she nodded her head up and down.

As we walked back to the mansion. "Are we still being watched?" I asked, staring straight ahead. "I am just wondering why that is all."

"Not sure but better safe then sorry," said Chris, as he moved to walk behind both Sydney and I.

"Heard that. That being said, do we need a plan for them?" I asked, as I looked behind us, as we walked around.

"We can't do anything till we talk with the others," said Chris.

"That makes sense to me." said Sydney, as she nodded in affirmation. "I am curious about something, though."

"What are you curious about at the moment?" asked Chris, looking around the area for anything that was amidst.

"Well, I was wondering why that thing looked all black." said Sydney, as she furrowed her eyebrows.

"That was weird to say the least." I said.

"Let's not worry about that for the moment, and get back to the others," I said, as I picked up the pace.

"A lady should not walk fast. It is unbecoming of you." said Chris, as he grabbed his sister's right arm."Iris, what do you think you are doing?"

"I was trying to get back as quickly as possible. Why do you ask?" I asked my brother.

"Do you know that in that time period you are a lady who does not run around," said Sydney, shaking her head.

Let us wait for the others to get back." said Chris, walking in the middle of the two girls.

"Understood, brother, we will follow your lead." I said, as a scowl came across my face.

As we walked back to the mansion where Napoleon and sir Isaac Newton were. Crash!

"What was that noise just now?" I asked, looking around the area.

"Is that Kyle and Claire running in our direction?" I asked, as I turned my head towards the sound.

"Come on, let us get out of here." said Kyle, as he ran straight past.

"Kyle, why are you running?" asked Chris, yelling after Kyle and Claire, as they ran towards the mansion.

"No time to explain right now. I will explain later!" Yelled Kyle as he turned the corner.

"Ok, then, should we follow them?" asked Sydney, looking from Iris to Chris.

"Yes, that will be a great idea." said Chris, as he walked back to the mansion.

"We are right behind you, brother." I said, trying to keep up with his pace.

"What do you think they were running from?" I asked, looking around the area that we were walking in. "Both of them had scared looks on their faces."

"I don't know why they ran that fast. Let's ask when we catch up with them." I said, picking up the pace.

"I wonder why that is." said Chris, bringing his eyebrows together.

"Well.." said Sydney as her voice trailed off, as she looked behind her. "You know the thing that was looking at us?"

"Yes, I remember that tall black thing. That being said, why was it looking at us to begin with?" asked Chris, as he walked into the mansion.

"That is a good question. We should ask Kyle and Grace why they were running back here to begin with." I said looking around for Kyle and Grace. "There they are talking with sir Issac and Napoleon."

"Oh you are back, that is good to see. Now all that we need to do is wait for Blake and Claire to get back right." said Chris, as he walked over to the four people standing in the living room.

"Agreed. We can't be too cautious about weird things happening around here." I said, looking around the room. "That being said, the things that are happening right now are weird."

"You mean that black tall thing that pointed at us right." said Sydney, as she walked over to Iris. Reaching out to me who was just standing there.

"What do we do now?" I asked, looking around the room.

"That is a brilliant question. Let's wait for the last to get here." said Chris, as he sat down on a chair.

"What should we do in the meantime?" asked Sydney, as she looked around the room.

"We could do nothing, but wait for them to get back here." said Chris, nodding his head up and down. "That being said, what is taking them so long to get here? It is not like we are in a time crunch or something."

"What are you talking about? We are right here." said Blake, as he walked into the living room.

Everyone else looked at Blake and Grace as they shook their heads.

"What you all looked annoyed." said Blake sitting down on a couch.

"We have things to tell you, and it's not good." I said, looking directly at Blake.

"I got that by how you said that. That being said, I know that this is a dumb question that I want to be answered." said Blake.

"Ok, what is this question that you want answered?" I got annoyed at Blake.

'Did you see anything weird?" asked Blake, looking around at the group that was sitting down.

"Iris, Sydney, and I saw a figure in black, as we were walking back from Notre Dame Cathedral." said Chris, looking from one person to another.

"Wait, did you just say a figure in black?" asked Napoleon, as her face turned a sheet of white. "That is not good, not good at all."

"Why do you look scared?" I asked, looking at Napoleon.

"Was the figure that you saw tall as well?" asked Napoleon, looking into Chris's eyes.

"Yes, I believe that is the case." said Chris nodding his head in affirmation.

"That is not good. Thoughts are called watchers." said Napoleon.

"Why are the watchers so scary?" I asked, looking over at Napoleon.

"They are scary not for the fact that they just watch, but who they are watching for." said Napoleon, shrinking into the chair that she was sitting in.

"If this was answered before, I am sorry. Why are you a girl and not a boy?" Asked Chris, looking over at Napoleon.

"I believe that is because I am from a different dimension then you. Now back to the matter at hand." said Napoleon.

"Right, the machine that we came in." Said Claire, looking around at the group. "Does everyone have a piece of the time machine?"

"We have the transponder. That we found in Notre Dame Cathedral." said Chris, looking over at Sydney who was holding up the transponder.

"Yes, I have the transponder right here." said Sydney, holding out the transponder. "What did you get?"

It looks smaller then I thought it would be." said Kyle, looking over at the transponder in Sydney's hand.

"So, what if it is small. What was the item that you were going to get for the time machine." said Sydney, staring daggers into her brother. "What about the third group, then?"

"We got the control panel from the location that we were assigned," said Blake.

"I wonder why the control panel and the transponder were jettisoned from the time machine in the first place." said Claire, knitting her eyebrows together.

"I don't know the answer to that." said Chris, shaking his head.

"Well, enough of that for the moment. Do we have the three items we need to get the time machine working now?" I asked, looking around the room at everyone that was gathered there.

"Yes, I believe we have everything that we need," said Chris.

"Then what are you waiting for to repair that time machine right now? '' said Napoleon.

"Right, how long do you think it will take to repair the time machine." I said, looking around at the group.

"Since it is just the three items, I think one month I think." said Claire, nodding her head up and down.

"Ok what are we waiting for? Let's get a move on and start." said Chris, as he got up from the couch that he was sitting on.

One month later

"Why did that take an entire month just to put in three items?" asked Chris, as he stepped out of the time machine.

The rest of the group stepped out of the time machine as well.

"What are you talking about, Chris?" asked Claire, smiling at him.

"What is going on with you two?" I asked, looking between my brother and Claire.

"Nothing is going on with us two. Why are you asking us right now?" asked Chris, stammering over his words.

"Ok, if you say so. Are we almost done with the repairs on the time machine," I said, looking at my brother.

"Sorry about that, sis. I will try to be better," said Chris as he put his hand behind his head.

As Blake walked out to where the rest of the group was standing.

"I think the time machine is ready to send us back to our own time." said Blake, nodding his head in affirmation.

"Well then, what are we waiting for? We should get back to our time." said Kyle, walking into the time machine.

"Is it alright if I come alone with you?" asked Napoleon, looking around at everyone who was standing around the rebuilt time machine near Notre Dame Cathedral.

The entrance group stopped what they were doing and looked at Napoleon.

"Would that make you a person who the watchers are looking for?" I asked, looking directly at Napoleon.

"I see the point that you're saying. That is why it is up to you on what to do," said Napoleon, looking around at the group.

"Let us talk as a group about it. You can stay with us while we talk about it." I said, looking over at Napoleon.

"The only issue that I can think of is that she needs to stay here and lead her men," said Chris, knitting his eyebrows together.

"Yes, that is the primary concern for taking her with us," said Sydney.

"Well, I am not in my time, so can I come with you so that I can get back to my time?" asked Sir Issac Newton looking around at the group that was gathered around the time machine.

"That is true. You're a part of the British Revolution, right?" asked Blake, looking over at Sir Issac Newton.

"He has a point; he is not in his time at all." I said, looking around at everyone.

"This is getting complicated." said Chris, turning around and walking into the time machine.

"Chris, what are you doing? We still need to figure this out." I said, walking into the time machine.

Everyone else looked around with confused looks on their faces.

"What was that all about just now?" asked Blake, looking very confused. Like someone just told him a confusing joke.

"It looks to me that Chris is getting very annoyed at what is happening right now." said Sydney, as she looked towards the door to the time machine.

"I mean who could blame him for doing that. It is not every day that your parents go missing, and might be trapped in a time prison or something like that." said Claire, walking into the time machine as well.

"Makes me weirded about where they went after this." said Grace, as she looked scared for a few seconds.

"True, that is a scary thought, but one that we can;t figure out at the moment. At least right now that we are right here, and not back where we started." said Sydney, turning to Sir Issac Newton. "Well, since you are out of your own time and space it is up to us. It seems to bring you back to your time."

"Yes, that makes sense to me, and I can give you more information about the watchers. Information that the organization that they work for will do anything to get, so guard it will your life if you have to." said Newton, as he walked into the time machine.

"Ok I get it. The only reason he gets to go with you is because of when he is correct?" asked Napoleon, looking very annoyed at what was going on at the moment."Well then, will I see you again?"

"I don't know if we will come back here." I said, looking over at everyone else.

"Yes, I agree with Iris on this one. We don't know if we can come back or not," said Chris, nodding his head in affirmation.

As everyone but Napoleon got into the time machine to get Sir Isaac Newton back to his time. The Time machine disappeared into nothingness.

"Where do you want to be dropped off?" I asked, looking over at Sir Issac Newton.

"My house is fine," said Sir Issac Newton.

"Ok, right by your house, right now we are right by Big Ben," I said.

"I spend most of my time in Cambridge," said Sir Issac Newton, as he looked around at everyone.

"Then what are we waiting for, let's go to Cambridge then," said Chris, crossing his arm over his chest.

"Should we go in the time machine?" I asked, looking around at everyone gathered in the time machine.

"No, I will get back there myself, thank you for getting me here," said Sir Issac Newton, stepping out of the time machine."Ok, then see you then. I should get going,"

"Ok, then we are off now," Said Claire, as she closed the door to the time machine.

"I should get back to Cambridge then," said Sir Iassc Newton, turning around and leaving the area.

"Well, now we should get back to our time," said Chris, as he closed the door to the time machine.

"That is a great idea. We need to find where our parents went," I said, as I looked around at the others that were gathered there.

Everyone went back into the time machine to head back to the 21st century.

"Good luck all of you?" said Sir Issac Newton, as he turned and walked away.

When we get back, where do you think we should head next?" I asked, looking around at the group. "Since we are following the path that Chris and I's parents went on,"

"Not sure at the moment. That being said, we can find that out more when we are back," said Sydney.

"That makes sense to me. Do we have a plan for the next place or time that we will go to?" asked Blake.

"We will not know until we get back to our own time," said Sydney.

Chris then walked over to the control panel for the time machine. Hit and pulled a few buttons, and levers. The time machine disappeared to go back to our own time.

"Well, we are back. I think for now we should get our own clothes back on." I said, looking around at the group.

"That makes sense to me." said Sydney, moving to the changing room.

"You heard her time to get out of these clothes," said Chris, following Sydney to the changing room.

One hour later

"Is everyone here now?" I asked, looking around at the group that was gathered in the attic.

"Yes, I believe everyone is here now. What is the plan from now on?" asked Grace.

"First, we should go down stairs," said Chris, turning around and walking towards the attic door.

"Is everyone in the living room?" asked Kyle, as he looked around.

"Yes, I see everyone." I said.

"Now what time is it at the moment?" asked Chris.

"6 o'clock pm" said Claire, looking at her phone.

"Then it is dinner time, and I know for a fact that I can't cook," said Chris.

"Why can't you cook? Oh, right Iris didn't let you cook, since you were doing everything else," said Sydney, as she laughed out loud.

Everyone else laughed as well.

"Stop it you all. You're teasing me," said Chris, as he laughed out loud.

Cooking noises could be heard from the kitchen.

"What is that coming from the kitchen? Something smells good in there right now," said Sydney as she walked into the kitchen. "Oh, my it looks to be enchiladas,"

"Wait, did you just say enchiladas?" asked Claire, as her stomach growled a little.

"Dinner is almost ready. I need ten more minutes to get the meal done," I said from the kitchen. "Syd, can you help me with the side dishes?"

"Yes, I can help you with that," said Sydney, moving towards the cutting board.

"Just watch out for what you are doing. Don't want you to hurt yourself," I said, looking over at my girlfriend.

"You don't need to tell me twice," said Sydney.

Fifty Minutes later

Breathing in heavily."That took a bit more than I thought it would," I said.

"Do you want to tell the others that dinner is ready?" asked Sydney, as she pulled out plants and silverware.

"On it," I said, putting a lid on the enchiladas, and walking out of the kitchen."Everyone in the living room having dinner is ready now."

"Ok, it is dinner time, it is time to eat." said Chris as he headed for the dining table.

"Not so fast, brother," I said, putting my right hand out to block him. "You and everyone here need to wash their hands first."

"Right.I will do that right now," said Chris, as he turned towards the restroom.

The rest of the group followed him towards the restroom.

"What should we do? Will they wash their hands?" asked Sydney, looking over at Iris.

"Set the table, and wait for everyone to sit down at the table," I said, putting the enchiladas down on the dining room table. "You know where the silverware is right, Syd, or do I need to remind you where they are?"

"No, I don't need to be reminded where the silverware is. Do you know how long I have been coming over?"

"Same time as Kyle coming over. Longer then Blake, Claire, and Grace coming over," I said, looking next to my right side towards Sydney.

"That is true. If memory serves me correctly when we met thirteen years ago, you were very shy." said Sydney, turning her head towards the left.

"Yes, and now look at us. Who would have thought that day four years ago you would ask me out on a date," I said, looking around to see where everyone else was at.

Walking into the dining room. "What were you talking about?" asked Chris, looking from Sydney, to his sister.

"Nothing that you don't already know about," I said, looking up at my brother. "Well then, are you going to sit down, or just stand there?"

"Right, you don't need to nag us about that," said Chris, sitting down at the dining table. "Enchiladas are a good choice, sis."

"Grab soon, and eat your dinner," I said, as I filled up my plate with food.

"Should we discuss the time that we will go to next?" asked Kyle, as he crossed his arms together. "At least that is what I was thinking to begin with,"

"Chris brother can you please bring all the documents that are on the living room table into here please?" I asked, looking over at my brother. "We need to figure out where to go next."

"Let me see Al Capone on March 27th, 1929. I think that is going to be a good place to start," said Chris, sitting back down at the dining table. "At the very least, that is what I am thinking.

"That is in Chicago right Iris. Who was the head arresting agent at that time?" asked Claire, as she picked up the piece of paper.

"Can I see that piece of paper? I think the name should be on there to begin with." I said, as I took the piece of paper from Claire. After a few moments of silence. "Ah, yes, here is the name of the head arresting agent. The name of the arresting agent is Eliot Ness."

"Did I just hear Eliot Ness?" asked Grace, her eyes looking bloodshot. "This could be terrible for me."

Everyone stopped what they were doing at that moment.

"Ok, can you please tell us why that is a bad thing?" asked Chris, looking at Grace with a concerned look on his face.

"He is Claire and my ancestor, so we have to do our best not to tell him we are." said Grace, as she put her head into her hands.

"Well, right now there is nothing we can do about it right?" asked Blake, as he looked around the table at everyone that was gathered there. "At least that is what I think about it,"

"That makes sense to me. Why waste energy on something that you can't control at all," I said, looking at Grace.

"Ok you have a point about that. Well, it is getting late. I think that Claire and I should head home right about now," said Grace, as she got up from the dining room table. Turned and walked towards the door.

"I will follow your girls out as well," said Blake as he got up from his set and walked towards the front door following the sisters.

"Will I see them off," I said, getting up from the dining room table. "Chris, can you please start with the cleanup of the dinner?"

"You got it sis." said Chris, getting up from the dining room table, and cleared everything that was on the dining room table.

One Hour Later

"Now that it is done, what are the plans now?" I asked, looking around at the remaining three people, sitting in the living room.

"Sydney told me she wanted to stay the night here, and I was going to go back to the house and bring over her overnight things." said Kyle, looking like he was going to dread bringing over his sister overnight things."Is that ok with you?"

"Yes, that is perfectly fine with us," said Chris, nodding his head in affirmation.

"Ok, then we will get Sydney things. Then we will be back." said Kyle, as he and Sydney left the house.

"Ok then, we will see you back here soon then," I said, waving my hand in their direction.

"See you soon Iris." said Sydney, walking up to her and kissing her.

"Sydney, time, and place," said Kyle, looking annoyed at his sister.

"Sorry brother," said Sydney.

"That is ok. We will be back shortly with her overnight things," said Kyle as he and his sister left.

"What do we do while we wait for them to come back here?" asked Chris, looking down at his sister.

"We have the dishes from dinner to clean up." I said, turning around and walking into the kitchen where the dirty dishes were. "Well, are you coming or are you just going to stand there?"

We walked back into the kitchen to finish up the cleaning up of the dinner.

"I am wondering something." said Chris as he looked over at his sister.

"What are you wondering brother? I will not get angry with you, so speak your mind." I said, as I cleaned the pans that were used for the enchiladas.

We then hear the front door open.

"I am back with my stuff to sleep over," said Sydney, as she placed her overnight backpack onto the living room table. "Is there anything that I can do to help you two out?"

"No, not at the moment. You can bring your stuff up into Iris's room. You remember where that is, right?" asked Chris, from the kitchen.

"Yes, I remember where her room is, I've been in there so many times already," said Sydney, as she picked up the overnight backpack and walked out of the living room and up the stairs.

"What do you think we should do?" asked Chris, looking over at his sister.

"Girl talk." I said, turning and walked out of the kitchen.

"I see, then I will finish up here then," said Chris, as he continued to clean up after.

"Syd, are you in here?" I asked, walking into my room, and looked around the room.

"Yes, I am here. Just in the restroom at the moment." said Sydney, yelling from the restroom.

"Ok." I said, looking around my room to see what to do. "What can I do while I wait for Sydney to get out of the restroom?"

I walked around the room just to waste time while waiting for Sydney.

"Oh, Iris, is your brother finishing the dishes down stairs at the moment?" asked Sydney, as she walked out of the restroom in a nightgown.

"When I left my brother to come up here, he was almost done with cleaning up so he should be done by now," I said, looking at Sydney.

"Well, that is good to hear. Now what do you want to do for an hour before we go to bed?" asked Sydney, as she tilted her head to the right, as she looked at her girlfriend.

"Well, I wanted to talk for a bit before we go to bed if that is alright with you?" I asked, looking into Sydney's eyes.

"Yes, that is perfectly fine with me. What do you want to talk about beginning with?" asked Sydney, as she sat on the bed.

"I need help to figure out why our parents left us without telling either me or Chris about it." I said, getting onto the bed, and pulling my knees to my chest.

"I see what you mean, Iris. I also saw that no one talked to you around Chris a lot about what is going on right now?" said Sydney, as she moved closer to Iris, and put one arm around her. "Do you want to talk about it right now, or wait till tomorrow?"

"I want to talk about it right now?" I said, putting my head on Sydney's shoulder.
