"We should go to bed, it is getting late," said Sydney, lying down on the bed and went to sleep.
"Ok, see you in the morning," I said, going to bed.
"Love you, Iris." said Sydney, as she closed her eyes.
"Love you to Sydney," I said, going to sleep.
We went to sleep to see what the next day would bring.
"I think I heard Iris and Sydney go to sleep. I think it is time for me to go to sleep as well." said Chris, as he walked up the stairs to head into his room.
In the Morning
Stretching my arms over my head. "It is time to wake up and head down to make breakfast before the others get here." I said, getting out of bed and walked into the bathroom.
"Iris, you are being loud in the morning," said Sydney, squinting around the bedroom.
"Sorry if you are still sleepy, go back to bed. I will try to be as quiet as possible." I said, from the bathroom.
"Ok, I will be up when breakfast is ready." said Sydney, going back to bed.
"I see I will be down stairs if you need anything." I said, leaving the bedroom to go down stairs to the kitchen."Now what can I make for breakfast today?"
Walking around the kitchen to see what we have in the kitchen.
"Let me see what I can make for breakfast. Did we not go grocery shopping earlier in the week?" I asked, as I opened the refrigerator.
"Why are you so loud in the morning?" asked Chris, as he walked into the kitchen with his eyes almost closed.
"Sorry about that, brother. I am just trying to find something to make for breakfast." I said, closing the door to the refrigerator.
"I see, then I can make a trip to the grocery store." said Chris, turning around and walking towards the front door.
"That will be a great idea. See you in an hour or so brother." I said, leaving the kitchen.
"What are you going to do while I am at the grocery store?" asked Chris, turning his head towards his sister.
"Do some chores that need to be done," I said, looking at the pile of papers on the living room table.
"Well then, I am off to the grocery store. I will see you in an hour or so," said Chris, as he walked out the front door.
"See you soon then, brother." I said, walking to the front door and closed the door behind my brother.
"Was that your brother that just walked out the front door?" asked Sydney, looking sleepy around the living room.
"Yes, that was my brother who just left the house. We are out of food for breakfast at the moment," I said, sitting done on a couch.
"I see then what do we do while your brother goes to the grocery store?" asked Sydney, as she looked around the living room.
"We do some cleaning, and we wait for my brother to get back here." I said, looking at Sydney.
"Cleaning, why do you do that?" asked Sydney.
"I don't just do that. You should know that my brother has been taking care of me for a while," I said.
Knock Knock
"I think that is the front door, right?" asked Sydney, getting up from the couch.
Walking to the front door opened the front door up.
"Oh, Kyle, you are here now. What about the others that are coming?" asked Sydney, looking out the front door.
"Well, I wanted to come here early. Is that alright?" said Kyle, walking into the foyer.
"I see that makes sense to me," I said, getting up, and got some chores done before Chris got back.
"I see if memory serves me correctly. We are going to me going to Philadelphia 1929." said Kyle.
"Well then, that means that when everyone gets here, we will head there then," asked Sydney, looking between her brother and Iris..
"I am back with the groceries. Oh, Kyle, you are here," said Chris, walking into the living room. "We are about to make breakfast. Do you want to join us?"
"Sure, if you don't mind that I am here," said Kyle, sitting down on one of the living room chairs.
"No, we don't mind at all." I said, getting up and walking into the kitchen to see what my brother got for groceries. "Let me see what I can make for breakfast and wait for the others to get here."
Walking into the kitchen once again to see what can be made for breakfast.
"What breakfast items did you get? If you got any to begin with." said Sydney, looking over at Chris.
"I remember the last ten times that you got groceries all you got was ten bags of junk food." said Kyle, keeling over from laughter.
"How is that funny to you? It is not funny to me at all." said Chris, looking up at Kyle with an annoyed face.
"Sorry, so sorry. That is the truth, though you are really on your sister too much." said Kyle.
The three people standing in the living room, moved to the dining room.
"What is breakfast going to be?" asked Sydney, looking towards the kitchen. "I am wondering if I should help with something?"
"No, I am almost done with making breakfast. I am going to plate soon." I said from the kitchen.
"Do you want help to bring out the food to the dining room table?" asked Sydney, getting up from the dining room table.
"Yes, that would be helpful," I said.
Grabbing four plates from the kitchen cabinet.
"Thank you for grabbing them," I said, putting four omelets onto the four plates.
One at a time Sydney walked with one of the plates and set them down on the dining room table.
"Well then, this is the breakfast that we are having right now," I said, putting a fork through the omelet.
As the four of us ate, the doorbell rang.
"Finish eating I will get to the front door," said Chris, as he got up from the dining table and walked to the front door. "Yes, who is it?"
"It is Blake, Claire, and Grace," said Blake, talking through the front door.
"Come on in." said Chris, walking back into the dining room.
"Is the plan to go to the Chicago courthouse in 1929." I said, looking around at everyone gathered around the table.
"Yes, when should we go to that time period, then?" asked Blake, looking around the dining area.
"We could go right now," said Chris, moving out of the dining room.
"Yes, there is nothing stopping us from doing that," I said, getting up and following my brother.
"Then what are we waiting for? Let us get a move on," said Sydney, leaving the dining room, and headed towards the attic. "Well, are you coming or are you just going to stand there doing nothing,"
"Sydney is right, we need to get a move on. The longer that we wait around, who knows what will happen to Chris, and Iris's parents," said Kyle, following his sister.
The seven of us walked up the stairs and headed towards the attic.
"I wonder where we are going to land this time around." said Blake, looking around at everyone that was gathered in the attic.
"There is no way to tell where we would land. That being said, we need to get the clothes that are from that time period." Said Chris, as he looked around at everyone.
Everyone again looked around the attic to find the 1920s clothes rack.
"Found them. I think. The rack shows the 1920s on it," said Sydney.
"Are there Mens and women's wear like when we went back in time to the French Revolution. Even though it was in a distinct reality," said Chris, as he looked down at the rack of clothes.
"Yes, there are just like last time brother," I said, with a look of annoyance on my face.
The room fell silent, so silent that you could hear the wood creak from under the pressure of all seven people that were in the attic.
"We are not getting anywhere just not doing anything just standing around." said Kyle, walking through the row of clothes.
"Look at this bowler hat, does it look cool on me?" asked Blake, turning around so that everyone could see. "What! Why are you looking at me like that?"
"That hat does not look like you at all. It looks bad." I said.
We went down the rack and picked out clothes and other accessories to put on. Then we all went to the changing rooms.
"This is going to be one weird ride through time and space," I said, stepping out of the changing room.
"Do we just see for ourselves if there is anything that is off," I said looking around at the group that was dressed in the 1920s attire.
"We all look funny in these clothes," said Sydney, laughing out loud.
"Well, we are ready to get going," said Claire.
"I think we are ready to go," I said, walking up into the time machine.
The rest of them gathered around the center of the time machine.
"Ok, Chris, can you put in the coordinates?" asked Sydney, as she looked over in Chris's direction.
"What is the plan to see what is going on without infringing on what is the plan?" asked Blake.
"Is the time a fixed point or is it not," said Sydney.
"Let's take a look and see for ourselves." I said, pulling up the screen.
Everyone gets around the screen that was in front of me.
"Is it a fixed point or not?" asked Kyle.
"Looks to me that this point in time is not a fixed point," said Chris.
"What are we waiting for? Let us get a move on and head to Philadelphia." said Blake, as he walked around the console.
"I see we should get a move on, then." I said, as I lifted levers and pushed buttons on the console. "Alright, is everyone ready to go to the roaring twenties?"
"I was born ready to go to the roaring twenties," said Sydney, as she looked very excited about the era that we were going into.
"Well then, what are we waiting for? Let us go," said Chris.
"Ok, let me hit this last button and we should be off right now," I said, as the time machine disappeared again from the attic.
"I wonder where we are going to land?" asked Sydney, looking like she was too excited.
"Well, now that we are off like this, who knows what the future will hold," I said, trying to make sure that we do not land at the wrong time.
"Do we have a plan for when we land or do we just say screw it. We'll figure it out when we land?" asked Grace, looking scared at what we were doing. "Am I just overthinking what is going on?"
"For starters, you are not overthinking anything. We need to figure out what we are going to do when we land." I said, as I took a step back from the control panel. "What do you all think we should do when we land?"
Thud went to the time machine
"Well, it looks to me we have landed. I wonder where we have landed," I said, opening up the door to the time machine. "It is nice out here."
As, the rest of the group followed me out of the time machine.
"Looks like we are two blocks west of the Philadelphia Courthouse." said Kyle.
"Then let us get moving then," said Chris, walking in the court's direction house.
We moved as a group to the Philadelphia Courthouse slowly.
"What time does Al Capone get arrested?" asked Claire, as she knitted her eyebrows together.
"Let me try to remember the time that he was arrested," I said, thinking about when he was arrested." I cannot remember the time that he was arrested."
"Oh, look right there. I think that is Eliott Ness right there on the steps or the courthouse," said Chris, as he pointed at the stairs of the courthouse.
"Well then, let us wait here and see what happens if anything happens at all," I said, looking towards the courthouse.
Right as I stopped talking, the sky turned red, but it only happened around the courthouse.
"Ok, that is not supposed to happen, right?" asked Kyle, looking up at the sky.
"Yes, that is not supposed to happen. Let us move closer to the courthouse." said Blake, as he moved towards the courthouse.
"Just be careful. We don't know what is going on with the sky right now," I said, walking towards the courthouse.
"That means we need to watch from a distance, right?" asked Sydney.
"Depends on what happens next," said Chris, getting worried that time will get messed up.
The Sky opens up, and characters from some other place came out of the crack in the sky.
"Ok, we need to get to the stairs of the courthouse right now!" I yelled at the top of my lungs.
We all ran towards the courthouse as other people ran away from what was happening.
"This is not good at all. What is the plan to stop what is happening right now?" asked Grace, as she stopped to catch her breath.
"You can't just stop there, get a move on and keep up with the rest of us," said Kyle as he turned towards Grace.
"I know. I was just trying to catch my breath for a second or two. Then I would have run again. " Said Grace, as she snapped back at Kyle. "I know I stopped. I don't need someone to tell me to keep running!"
"Well then, come on get yourself moving," said Claire, as she tried to pull her sister towards the courthouse.
"I am coming. Ow stop pulling my arm! That hurts," said Grace, as she tried hard not to scream.
"Well then, try to keep up then," said Claire.
We walked up to the group of people that had gathered on the stairs of the courthouse.
"Al Capone, you are under arrest, take him away," said Eliot Ness, to one of the other FBI Agents.
"What you can't do that I am innocent!!" Yelled Al Capone as he got taken away.
"Why are you so calm right now? People are running around like crazy right now." I said, looking at the lead investigator for the FBI.
"What do you mean people are running around like crazy?" asked Eliott Ness, as he looked around and then up in the sky. "Oh, that is not good at all."
"Now, do you understand what is going on right now?" I asked, as I walked up to where Elliot Ness was standing.
"Yes, I see that. What is that in the sky? Did you do that?" asked Elliot Ness, looking terrified.
"No, we did not do that. We don't even know what is going on here to begin with." Chris said, with a look of exasperation on his face.
"I see then what are you going to do?" asked Elliot, as he looked around at the group that was gathered at the courthouse. "Since I don't know if you caused this or not. If you know what I mean about that to begin with."
"For all we know is that we might not need to do anything at all. I say that wait and see what happens," I said, with a smile coming across my face.
"Wait everyone looks up at the crack in the sky that is disappearing," said Chris, as he looked up into the sky.
Everyone looked up in the sky to see the crack in the sky disappearing.
"Ok, that was weird, what do you think that was all about?" asked Kyle, looking weirded about what was going on.
"That is the question. I don't have the answer to that. All I am left with is more questions," said Sydney.
"That makes sense to me. It would leave you with more questions than answers," I said, turning my attention back to Elliot Ness. "Now, to the matter at hand. Do you know anything about our parents?"
"Who are your parents again?" asked Eliot, as he looked confused for a second or two.
"Their Names are Alice, and Jason Seble," said Chris, looking over at Elliot Ness.
"Well then, Let me think for a moment," said Eliott, as he paced back and forth on the stairs of the courthouse. "Ah, yes I remember helping two people named Alice and Jason. Back in D.C," said Elliot.
"Can you tell us what they were doing here in this era in time?" I asked.
"No, I can't, what we were working on is still classified. By 1945, it should not be classified," said Elliot, as he turned and walked away from the group.
"What should we do? Should we go to 1945, or back home?" asked Sydney, as she looked from one person to another.
"We should go back home I say," said Chris, with determination in his eyes. "At the very least, that is what I was thinking,"
"For some reason, that makes a lot of sense to me as well," said Kyle, agreeing with what Chris was saying.
"All in favor of going back home?" I asked, looking around at the others.
Everyone nodded in agreement to go back home.
"Well, that was a complete waste of time, in my opinion," I said.
"Iris, not true. If we didn't go here, we would not have known what your parents were doing here. Now we know they were doing something with the FBI," said Sydney,
"Ok, I see what you are trying to say about all of that. That still leaves the mystery of what Chris and my parents were doing here to begin with." I said, looking exasperated at what was going on right now. "This trail that our parents left us is making me angry."
"Well, for now let's head back home then," said Sydney, as she led the way back to the time machine.
"That might help to clear my head," I said, smiling over at Sydney. Who smiled back at me.
We arrived back at the time machine and walked into it.
"Set the destination as Los Angeles 2023," I said, looking over at my brother.
"Ok, will do boss," said Chris sarcastically.
"Ok, then what are we waiting for? Let us go back to our own time," said Claire.
"Yes, let's go back to our own time," said Kyle, agreeing with what Claire was saying.
"If I remember correctly, there should be a computer in dad's office," said Chris, as he knitted his eyebrows to look like he was focusing on something.
"Then that is a good place to start. Right after we get back and out of these clothes," I said, looking down at what I was wearing.
"True, this is a bit restricting," said Claire, as she pulled at the right sleeve of her outfit.
"Well then, let's get a move on," said Chris.
Flicking through a few levers and pressing a few buttons. Landing back at the house that we started the day in.
"Well, everyone gets changed back into their own clothes then meets up in the office room," I said, heading into the changing room.
We all went to the changing room, so that we could get changed back into our normal clothes. When everyone was done changing, we went down the stairs and went into the office.
"Ok, let me see the FBI case that happened in 1920. Wait what is this about! It looks to me they were looking into time travel," said Chris, looking very surprised. "What is going on here? I don't understand what is going on,"
"That is weird that is for sure," I said, trying to wrap my head around the information that Chris just looked up.
"Well then, does that make things more complicated or not?" asked Claire, looking at the screen of the computer. "At least that is what I was thinking,"
"Well, it kind of is, but for the moment we don't need to worry about that," said Chris, as he got up from the desk. "Now that is out of the way. What time is it right now?"
"It looks to me it is almost noon, so it is time to make some lunch. Since everyone is here, do you want to join us for some lunch?" I asked, looking around at everyone.
"Yes, please, that would be great," said everyone together.
"Then, for right now, everyone goes into the living room and waits for lunch to be made. Also, for the moment, let us not find the next place to go. It is important to have some amount of down time," I said, as I walked out of the office room to head into the kitchen.
"Well, you heard her. Let us go into the living room." Said Chris, as he followed his sister out.
Everyone followed the siblings out of the office room.
"What do you think Iris is going to make for lunch?" asked Claire, looking around the room.
"Well, why don't you go into the kitchen, and find out," said Sydney.
"No, knowing her if I tried to help. She would get angry at me," said Claire.
"Ok, then what do we do? Will we wait for lunch to finish cooking?" asked Grace as she looked around at the group.
"Well, I think we should organize the pieces of paper that we have on the living room table," said Kyle, as he looked around at the group that was gathered around the living room table.
"How do you think we should do that?" asked Sydney, looking over at her brother. "If I remember correctly Iris does not want us to touch the papers at all"
"She said not to pick one to travel to, but she did not say that we can;t organize them, right?" asked Kyle, as he looked over at his sister.
"He brings up a good point Sydney, and the table is still a mess from when we put them on the table to begin with," said Chris.
"Let me see for a second of two. Yes, here we are: the Paris revolution, and the courthouse in Philadelphia in 1929." said Kyle, picking up the two pieces of paper with the location that we have already been to.
"Lunch is ready in the dining room. What are you all doing with the papers that are on the coffee table? " I said, looking around at everyone.
"We were just sorting through the papers that were in our parents' journal," said Chris, getting up from the chair.
"I see then. Lunch is ready." I said, going into the dining room.
We all walked into the dining room to have lunch.
"What did you make for lunch?" asked Sydney, walking to one of the chairs and sitting down at the dining table.
"I made Chicken tenders and fries." I said.
"Wow, did you go all out for lunch or what?" asked Chris, looking over at his sister.
"Brother, do you have a moment? We need to talk," I said, as I got up from the table.
"Uh oh, something is in trouble," said Kyle, jeering at Chris.
"Stop teasing me," said Chris, storming off.
"Sorry!" yelled Kyle.
Everyone else looked at Kyle.
"What did I say something wrong?" asked Kyle, looking around at everyone.
"Yes, you did," I said, getting up and walking after my brother.
"What do you want to do then," said Kyle, looking around at the remaining five people.
"Brother, you can just sit there and think about what you just did," said Sydney, looking annoyed at her brother.
"Well then, that was something, hey. Can you pass the food?" asked Blake, looking over at Sydney.
"Sure, but I know why you are asking right now," said Sydney, passing over the chicken tenders.
Everyone just shook their heads.
"Back to the matter at hand, where did Chris and Iris go?" asked Claire, looking around to see where Chris and Iris went.
"I wonder when they will come back." said Sydney.
"Should we wait for them to get back? Asked Grace.
"We should wait for them to get back." said Kyle, as he put the fork that he was using onto the dining room table.
"Chris, why did you storm out of the dining room like that?" I asked, as I knocked on the door of the office room.
"Yes, I will be fine. I will be back soon. You can go back for the moment," said Chris, as he talked through the door.
I left the office door and walked back to the dining room.
"Is your brother alright?" asked Sydney as she got up from the dining room table.
"I believe he will be back soon," I said, sitting next to Sydney.
"Well then, what do you want to do next? Do you want to continue to find your parents after this? Do you want to take a break before continuing to find your parents?" asked Claire, as she looked around at the five over people that were gathered in the living room.
"I think about what to do. Since both of the questions you asked make sense to me," I said, looking at the people that were sitting in the living room.
"Just don't think too hard about it," said Blake.
"Ok, I won't think too hard about it," I said, sitting back on the couch.
"Why don't we all go to the mall later?" asked Chris, as he walked into the living room. "At the very least, that is what I think we should do right now. What do you all think about that?"
"I don't see any harm in going to the shopping mall," said Kyle, agreeing with what Chris was saying just now.
"Ok, it is settled, we will go to the mall. The question is when we will go to the mall?" asked Grace, as she thought about it.
Everyone in the room thought about where to go.
"That is a great idea. Yes, why don't we go to the mall. I thought that we can go to the mall tomorrow." Said Claire.
"Makes sense to me," said Sydney.
"So, tomorrow we will go to the mall," said Blake.
"Yes, we will go to the mall," I said, reaching my hand over to Sydney. "Do we have anything to do at the mall?"
"Not that I know of but it was the only thing that was brought up," said Chris.
" What time is it right now? Asked Grace, looking around the living room. "It is one pm right now," said Kyle.
"Then it is decided we will go to the mall. Like we had planned on," said Grace.
"Well then, we have decided what are we going to do now?" asked Sydney.
"If we will do nothing, then we should go to the mall," said Claire, as she got up from the chair that she was sitting on. "Well, what are you waiting for? let's go then,"
Everyone got up from where they were sitting.
"How will we get there, then?" asked Blake.
"I have a van that everyone can get in," said Chris, walking up to the van that was sitting in the driveway.
"Then let's get a move on then," I said, getting into the van.
We all got into the van to head to the mall.
"What is the nearest mall to our location?" asked Grace, looking around at the people sitting in the seats of the van.
"Let me use my phone to see where the nearest mall is," said Sydney as she pulled out her phone. To see where the nearest mall is. "The nearest mall is the Grove. At least that is what I think anyway,"
"I see then we will go to the grove then," said Chris, as he turned on the van to get going to the mall.
One hour later
"We are here at the mall. What is the plan for now?" asked Grace, as she got out of the van.
"First, we go inside the mall, and then we go shopping," said Sydney.
"Thank you for being so obvious," said Grace, looking at Sydney with a deadpan stare.
"Ok, can we go into the mall now," I said, walking towards the mall.
Everyone else walked towards the mall.
"Do we know what we are going to do when we get into the mall?" asked Grace.
"We figure that out when we get inside of the mall," said Sydney.
