Ryu went was left alone to enjoy the view while Nura left to go wherever he would go with Luise. Their talk was very enlightening to Ryu in some aspects, like he does not have to be so desperate to find what kind of build he wants to keep, and having someone to rely on and share his secrets is very comforting, but that last think about going to a village made a twist on Ryu mind.

This word is mainly composed of cultivators, not because everyone chose the life of cultivating, in fact, most people don't have the necessary talent for it. The high number of cultivators is explained by their long lifespan, a high-level cultivator can live for thousands of years while a commoner can at most live for a hundred.

Besides a cultivator doesn't suffer from diseases, they don't die by a natural disaster, hunger is also not a problem and the beasts that could kill a man are something that the cultivator can face head-on. It is not difficult to do the math and understand that the number of cultivators grows at different paces them the number of commoners.

It was not always like that, in old-time people didn't have systems, to cultivate they had to rely on martial cultivation techniques and comprehension of the Dao. It was way harder to cultivate and the balance of cultivators and commoners was not so distant.

However commoners still exist, and they have to live in this dangerous world with strong beasts and cultivators that have the power to exterminate a city in seconds.

It is precisely for this reason that they choose to live near the cultivators. They make their cities not so close to being caught in a fight and die just by the aftermath of a battle and not so distant to be facing the beasts on their own.

For these two groups to interact is not something strange, they go to each other cities for business and work. But their lifestyle is so different that they mostly choose to make their life with their own kind.

When Nura said to go to a village he was precisely saying to Ryu go to a settlement of commoners living near the sect. There should exist small villages near the sect to enjoy some protection.

Ryu could not understand how doing something like that would be helpful for him. He was in a dilemma, he needs to do quests to gain exp and the sect would provide quests for this, on the other hand, Nura said that parting would provide more benefits.

On one side he had tasted that the sect's quest was tedious and the rewards somewhat lame, on the other side there is Nura's word without any argument. No, he actually used the argument "trust me".

Common sense says he should stay, but after giving some thought curiosity prevailed and Ryu decided that he will go.

Ryu went right to the Management Hall to request permission to leave the sect. The disciples were not prisoners they could go whenever they want, but for new disciples that are under level 10, there are some restrictions. The sect does not want them to go out when they don't have the power to defend themselves.

When he asked for permission to leave the man in charge of the management hall responsible to concede tried to persuade him many times.

"Are you sure you want to go? We recommend new disciples to be performing quests close. There is many quests in the mission hall, have you gone there?"

"You can get quests without the sect too, if you want to hunt."

"Have you thought about it properly?"

It took time for Ryu to persuade the man, he said that he will be only a few kilometers distant in a village and he does not want to be facing danger. The man eventually agreed and gave Ryu a license, but not without giving advice to not think of himself as invincible and to not attack the commoners in the village.

Attacking commoners is considered a dishonor for a cultivator, and the sect does not want to be put in a bad position. But if a cultivator decides to go and bully a commoner there isn't much to be done, no one would search for problems over a small matter.

After asking for the villages that surround the sect, Ryu chose one about 50 kilometers distant. It was not considered far, but with his present strength if he leaves now he would have to travel night and sleep in the wild again. Thus he decided to leave tomorrow.

For the rest of the day Ryu just roamed in the sect without destiny, he does not have to worry about baggage for he always carries his things with him in his spatial ring.

Carefree walking is an activity that Ryu most enjoyed, sometimes he goes to the streets and just left his legs to choose the path, he uses this time as a meditation to relax his mind. Today his legs conducted him to many places around the sect, this habit of Ryu often makes him discover a different kind of business, places, and people.

Ryu walked to the sect, the geometric design made his walk a straightforward path that allowed him to see some distance ahead. His improved vision allowed him to see a good distance ahead but this doesn't provide any help when you don't know what you are trying to look, and he continued to walk.

Eventually, he found himself in front of a large building, the frame was still made in wood the residences and most of the sects constructions, bud this one have something different. Ryu could not properly assess what made this one seem so equal yet sot different, just by looking the wood seemed a lot harder than it should be, the light made a turn when entering.

But the most notorious thing is the stripes in between one wood board and the other. Call it stripes is not correct, in fact, the divisions of one board and the other shifted constantly making sometimes lines sometimes curves, they enlarge and shrink.

These shifting lines displaying different images that continue to change from time to time, it makes a tiger climbing a mountain, next time a flying bird, next to a geometric pattern, and so on.

At the top of the build is a sign 'Inscripiton Association'. The whole building is a fancy display of formations whose sole purpose is to show off. It was something that Ryu does not disapprove of. If one has skills why should one hide them as if he was doing something wrong?

Another time Ryu's feet had to lead him to the place he needs to be, this is the perfect opportunity to see what it is to be an inscriptionist and decide if he wants to follow these steps. Ryu looked to the two-side door in front of the building and decided to enter.

Ryu extended his hands to push the door open, but when he performed this action the door opened by itself in another display of useless still fantastic showcase of formations.
