Chapter 5 Ancient Old man and Beautiful Lady
Traveling up the reverse mountain, Paul was thinking about a need for a doctor on his ship. Of the one piece doctors that were shown so far, none of the doctors really stood out to him except for Trafalgar Law, Doc Q, and Marco. At this point in the timeline, it was already too late to recruit those three.
Reaching the peak of the reverse mountain, the began to go down the mountain at a tremendous speed. Paul was having trouble dodging the the boulders that were blocking the front and to the side. While trying his best to steer the boat, he was closely reaching the bottom of the reverse mountain and 'boom' they reached the bottom. However, the impact when diving straight down caused some damage to the boat, far more damage than he expected.

Mythical Zoan Hito Hito no Mid, Model : Holy Angel- Gives the user the ability to transform into two Angel forms and the ability to use holy energy. First transformation gives the user wings and based on the number of wings, it increases the user's physical ability. The second information gives the user the ability to use holy flames which can burn or heal anything it touches.
Although it was not a real devil fruit, he found that this devil fruit is still pretty strong and useful. Unfortunately, Robin already had a devil fruit and there was no way to switch or exchange the devil fruit.
Looking at the state of the boat, he knew that it wouldn't last much longer and would need to get them a new ship soon or else they might sink. Looking at the log pose, it pointed to their next destination. Picking a different path from Luffy, he was unsure of what would lay ahead of him.
Two days later
From a distance, he saw a strange island in view. He was sailing towards it, he noticed that the boat slowly stopped. Looking at the wind sails, he noticed that there was no wind at all in his location. Feeling the ship stop, all three knew what this meant... CALM BELT. The calm belt was an area around in the Grand Line that had no wave or wind movement making it impossible for a ship with no paddles to move about. The fearsome things about the Calm Belt was that it was a breeding ground for Sea Kings and at their strength, they did not have enough strength to deal with one sea king.
Sensing their predicament, Paul was about to send some wind onto their sail but, then he noticed that the boat was rising up from the sea.
Paul: " Damn"
The three just stood there without moving because if they made a sudden move and spooked the sea kings, they then would most likely be severely injured or dead. Holding their breath they continued to stand still on the boat. No longer floating on the water though, the boat started to creak and finally broke apart. 'bang' Two Giant eyes slowly looked at them. Another sea king not far from them, saw the three and moved towards them trying to swallow them.
Paul: " Shit, grab on to me."
Without hesitation, Daz and Robin grabbed onto Paul as he took off into the air. 'chomp' Barely missing the target, the three made it of there and not being eaten. However, the mere chomping movement caused a huge wind pressure that blew them away and caused them to be injured. The three coated themselves in haki but it broke apart easily. Slowly losing conscious, Paul looked to where they were flying towards. It was the island that the log pose had pointed to. Praying that the island was either unhabituated, had no strong animals, or at least peaceful, he covered himself in his dragon scales and brought the two closer to him, shielding the two as they had already lost conscious.
'baang'
Paul: " ha ha... Looks like I'm not dead yet"
Paul slowly fell unconscious.

Waking up, slowly he noticed that he was covered bandages. He sat up but only felt pain in the process and laid back down. He could still move his head though, so he looked around himself. He noticed that he was in an old hut made of wood and large leaves. He then saw Robin and Daz standing not far from him and they also were covered in bandages. He checked their bodies with observation haki and found that they were still alive.
Not knowing where he was and then scanned the area with observation haki. He noticed a beautiful young woman was not far from their location picking herbs and grabbing water.
Old Man: "Are you finally awake young man"
'Whoosh' Suddenly an old man entered the hut and asked.
Paul: " Are you the one who helped us, Thank you"
If it wasn't for him being unable to move, he would've jumped back from fear because he did not sense or see this man with his observation haki, and when he did noticed him, he knew that this old man was not weak. But soon calmed down because if the old man wanted to harm them, he could've just thrown them in the sea or left them to die.
The Old man appeared to be really old as he was hunched over holding a cane and was soo skinny that you could see his bones. His hair was white and had a white beard.
Old Man: " HOHO, it wasn't just me that helped you, it was my apprentice as well".
Paul: " Well thank you old man, I wouldn't know what to do if you had not saved helped us."
Old Man: " Don't mention it, it has been a long time since this old man has had company."
Paul: " My name is Brantley D. Paul, Who are you old man and where are we"
Old Jack: "Jack, just call me Old Jake. You are on point island, I'm surprised you made it here, after, all it is surrounded by a calm belt and this island can easily be swallowed up by sea kings."
Paul: " Surrounded?! well damn... well our ship broke anyways."
Lady: " Hello, is seems that you are awake"
Paul: " Hello, thank you for treating me and my crew."
Sera: " No problem, my name is Sera. I heard you earlier, so your name is Paul. Are you a pirate?"
Paul: " Yes, although our ship was destroyed during the encounter with the sea kings."
Sera: " well I'll check your injures again and then leave you to rest."
Paul: " Yes, thank you."
Sera looked to be a petite woman with blonde golden hair with milky white skin. She had sapphire blue eyes. She had a muscular build in which you can tell that she used to be some kind of soldier. When Paul saw her, he recognize the person before her. Phim D. Sera. She used to be a female knight captain that was part of a Kingdom in North Blue. Because of a civil war between the eldest son and youngest son, she became gravely injured and disappeared from the battle as her side lost. The main reason as to why the elder brother lost was because the youngest brother had help from the marines. Later because of the marine interference, she started to hate the world government and became a pirate. She had consumed the mythical zoan hito hito no mi, Model: Angel devil fruit which made her extremely strong.
She then took a look at his injures and found that it was already healing at a fast pace. Judging from his injuries, he could already be walking and moving in two days.
Sera: " You have a really strong body and recovery rate, you should be able to move and walk around in two days".
Questioning her medical expertise and knowing who she was
Paul: " How long have you been on this island?"
Astonished by the question,
Sera: "5 years, how did you know if I wasn't born here"
Paul: " When I scanned the island earlier, I only noticed you and the old man, based on the age difference, it is impossible for there to be a relation between you two."
Sera: " During a civil war in my country, my side lost and I was blasted away by a shichibukai, Bartholomew Kuma. Every since I arrived, I started looking for a way out but I can't leave the land by sea because of the calm belt. Old Jake taught me medical skills since I arrived."

Sera: " Fly?"
Paul: " oh never mind."
With this, he knew that she did not have a devil fruit. It just so happens he got the perfect devil fruit for her.
Sera: " Brantley D. Paul. Captain of the chaos pirates. 200,000 beli bounty. Defeated both Lao G and Sai of the happy at the same time. Destroyed several marine fleets in one move. Daz Bonez 90,000 beli bounty. Once a renown bounty hunter in west blue but now a pirate and defeated Sai's younger brother showing great strength in the process. Lastly, Nico Robin 79,000 beli bounty. Last survivor of the scholar island O'hara which was destroyed by the world government in conspiracy of researching weapons that could destroy the world."
Hearing that he had a new bounty, he was not surprised at this information considering that both Lao G and Sai were both strong enough to rank in the low 100,000 bounty. After all, this was about 6 years before Luffy fought them in which they had time to grow.
Paul: " Phim D. Sera, Captain of the flowery knights that worked for the Flower Kingdom but was destroyed in the Civil War. Looks like you know all about us. Do you want to join us, we could use your strength."
After thinking about it for a bit
Sera: " If you have a way off the island, then I will join your pirate crew"
She was going to become a pirate and fight against the world government after this anyways. Furthermore, she had some sympathy for Nico Robin as her country was also destroyed or had interference from the world government.
With nothing else to do, he looked at his status and decided to go to the store.

Looking at the items that speed up recovery, there was only few from he can choose from, the others were just temporary strength pills or something similar. He chose Sensu beans right away so that he can heal up and then start finding a way off the Island.
