Chapter 120: Lore Master

People started to come out of their homes as the neighborhood dogs continued their baying. Feather Lakes’ residents stared at the cluster of people and then noticed the boy’s body on the ground. Most turned back toward their homes, returning inside, not wanting to be a part of the scene in the street. Others just stared as if watching a show, their morbid curiosity getting the better of them.

Rhychard turned in a circle, taking them all in, his anger boiling to the surface of his control. “What is wrong with you people?” he screamed. “This is your neighborhood. This little boy,” he pointed to Timmy’s body, “tried his best to make a difference, not to give in to the evil and the hate. He did his best to help protect this neighborhood. How can you turn your backs on this?”
