Chapter 68 - Daughters of Darkness

“I feel sorry for Nazareth,” Wanda said as she set another cup of tea in front of Tansy. “I think Melli has found several excuses to pop into his store all morning.” She shook her head. “That woman has no shame.”

Tansy lifted the cup with two hands, using the rim to hide her smile. “And here I thought you’d enjoy the fact Melli stopped chasing Famallumi.” She blew on the tea before taking a sip, waiting for the shock and outburst.

“What?” Wanda froze where she stood and spun on Tansy, her eyes wide with surprise. “Why on earth would I care if she chased Famallumi? He’s a grown elf, for crying out loud.” She turned back to her own cup of tea, her back stiff. “He can do whatever he wants. I just think it’s shameful the way she flirts with every man she meets. The woman has no sense of morals. Besides, even though he’s an adult by our standards, Famallumi is still a young, innocent elf, not at all wise in the ways of women like Melinda Tipton.”
