Chapter 69 - Daughters of Darkness

“Are you going to the bookstore?” Jayden asked as she watched her sister enter the kitchen, carrying a laptop her mother bought her.

Laci shook her head. “No, I think a day without Nazareth would be a good thing.” She slid into a chair, opening the laptop once she was seated. “I actually have something else I want to check into. Duncan Underwood.”

“The ghost? Why are you looking into him?” Then her brows rose as she nodded. “You’re already doing that necromancer thing, huh? Going to find out why he’s still here? What evil lurks in Mr. Underwood’s past? Cool.” She slid into a chair beside her sister, a cup of coffee in her hands. “How do we start?”

Laci sighed, shaking her head. “I wish I knew. I thought I’d start with an Internet search. It was a long time ago, and I don’t know how active Duncan was in the world, but it’s the first thing I could come up with.”

“Nice,’ Jayden said, grinning more than Laci thought necessary. “So, let’s see what we can find.”
