Cherise watched as her daughter went to answer the door for Nicole and Clara. The High Priestess of the Daughters of Darkness knew her daughter’s husband would be a thorn in her side. His goody-two-shoes demeanor was not conducive for what Cherise intended. She couldn’t afford for him to talk Selina out of doing what was necessary until the other three witches were ready to host the Darkness and carry out their plan of revenge. The Sisters of the White Oak would pay for their attack on Warren.


Cherise sipped her tea as she heard the front door open, heard the others greeting each other as they entered the house. Stephen needed to be silenced, at least for now. Nothing and no one would stand in Cherise’s way, not when they were this close to accomplishing what they set out to do.


Setting her teacup on the table, Cherise rose to go get ready for the ceremony. However, her mind was on what to do about Stephen Devayne.
