Chapter 95 - Daughters of Darkness

Tansy stared at Cherise, worry for Kayla flooding through her. “You’re the Daughters of Darkness?” she asked, raising her cup to her lips and taking a sip. As she set the cup back on the table, she asked, “Does the Darkness refer to the moon or just the night in general?”

Cherise shrugged. “I just liked the sound of it. I’ve never been one for those hokey names like Sisters of Enchantment or The Coven of Enlightenment. Most of the witches in those groups didn’t seem enlightened or enchanted, just snobbish.”

Tansy arched an eyebrow at that. “I thought you never went around the other covens? How did you form such an opinion of them if you’ve never really met them?”

“I’ve met enough of them to know I want no part of them,” Cherise said, her words dripping ice.
