Chapter 101 - Daughters of Darkness

Kayla reached out, gripping Hannah’s arm to keep the girl from falling over. “What’s wrong? Hannah, what’s happening?”

Kalinda dropped to her knees beside them, her hands still clutching her head. “Something isn’t right,” she wheezed, bending over, her head almost touching the concrete walkway.

The people around them gave them odd looks, keeping a wide berth. “Damn lightweights,” Kayla heard some woman sneer, but couldn’t tell who it was. “Someone always goes a little too far,” another person said.

Well, better they think they’re drunk than anything else, I suppose. Kayla gripped Hannah harder, lifting the woman to her feet. Turning to Damien, she asked, “Do you have a room near here? Some place we can put them until we figure out what’s happening?”
