I’m telling you, that professor was creepy,” Kayla said as she bit down on her French fry. “It was like he knew something about me I didn’t even know. He just stared at me. Gave me the shudders.”

Kalinda cocked an eyebrow. “The shudders?” She nodded, her lips pressed into a thin line. “Not sure I’m familiar with that term, but it fits, I guess.”

Jayden chuckled as she held her burger in her hands. “Maybe he was checking you out.” She bounced her eyebrows, grinning. “I hear some of these professors don’t worry too much about the ethics of leaving the students alone.”

“Gross,” Kayla said, shuddering again. “You’ve been a little more boy crazy lately than before. I think you need a date. Soon.”

Jayden shrugged. “It’s the seasons coming up. They make me a little more of the mindset for romance. Something about cuddling up in front of a fire in the fall gives me the feels.”
