Selina noticed the others crossing the parking lot, backpacks slung over their shoulders as they headed for their classes. She stopped walking, watching them for a moment, trying to decide if she should approach them or just avoid them. While they stood up for her at the Coven Council, Kayla made it quite apparent she wasn’t thrilled with the way things went. Selina was sure the redhead was only there because of Kalinda. Still, Kayla could have gone against Selina, voicing her own anger, but instead she stood with her coven, exactly how members of a coven should behave. How sad is it that my mother was willing to kill these women? Selina sighed, straightening her backpack on her shoulder, and started to walk toward her first class of the day. She didn’t get far when Jayden noticed her and called her over.

The others turned, staring at Selina as she shifted course to join the other three women. Kayla already wore a scowl, but Kalinda smiled at Selina as she approached.
