Tansy eased the door open, not sure what to expect, but totally surprised by what she saw. Hannah and Damien stood in front of the bookshelves, arms out at their sides as they sent their power into the wall. Tansy was about to call out to stop them, but just before she could, the wall vanished, revealing Kayla and Kalinda bound on the floor, Kayla not moving, and another young man sprawled out on the floor, also lying still. As she saw Kayla lying there and Kalinda laying on the girl, tears streaking her face, Tansy thought the worst, a hand going to her mouth as a gasp slipped out.


Hannah and Damien dropped their arms, casting quick glances behind them at Tansy and Dean and then to what Professor Lankton hid behind the fake wall.


“Marcus!” Damien screamed, rushing to where the young man lay on the ground.
