Tansy poured herself a glass of wine, blowing out her exhaustion from the day’s events. Within an hour of calling Mark Rochester, an ambulance whisked Kayla away to the hospital, Kalinda riding along, and the Crime Scene Unit marked off the office for their investigation. Tricia Pierce arrived, giving Tansy a grimace at the fact the supernatural once again had called. Mark questioned the teacher’s aide, a Samantha Farson, and then sent her on her way, telling her to remain quiet about what happened there. He also put out an all-points bulletin on the professor, as well as Jared and Michael. Of course, with a goddess lending them her power, he hadn’t been too hopeful on locating them quickly.
