Laci watched as Tansy walked back out of Nazareth’s bookstore, the weird man with the staff following behind. “Can we do it?” she asked the older necromancer as she turned to face him. “Can we travel to this realm below the Underworld and stop Chaos?” The others told her everything they discovered, filling her in on Hannah and Damien, as well as the ritual they needed to perform tonight to make sure what happened to Kayla didn’t happen to Jayden and Wanda.


Nazareth crossed his arms over his chest as he leaned back on the counter. “The question isn’t so much can we do it, but rather, should we do it. The others can’t defeat the Darkness without us, remember? We’re the ones with the power to create the portal to send him back to his prison.”


“A prison he broke out of again,” Laci reminded him. “Is there a way to stop that from happening? Or are we always going to be fighting this bastard?”
