“What’s he doing here?” Tansy asked as she drew nearer to The Murky Cauldron.


“Who is it?” Out of the corner of her eye, Tansy watched Dean bring the staff a little more forward, gripping it tighter.


“Stephen, Selina’s husband.” Tansy couldn’t stop the sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach. Picking up her pace, she worried when she saw the man without his wife. Stephen wasn’t a fan of magic. He wouldn’t voluntarily enter the store.


Stepping inside The Murky Cauldron, she saw panic pinching Stephen’s face as he spoke to Wanda and Famallumi in rushed, clipped tones. “They took her. They put some spell on me that froze me in place. I couldn’t move to save her. I could only watch as they threatened her. They said she had to go with them, or they’d leave me like that forever.”


Tansy approached as Wanda glanced over Stephen’s shoulder at her, dry washing her hands. “Here’s Tansy. She’ll know what to do.”
