Tansy woke from a restless night, a thousand questions tumbling through her mind, questions to which she had no answers. They couldn’t chance Laci and Nazareth rushing to rescue Selina, because then the goddess would know they could reach her. So far, Chaos had ignored the necromancer, and Laci had never been around the others when they fought the magicians, so her identity was safe, as well. They needed that surprise kept for tonight to throw the goddess off kilter. They needed every surprise they could muster.


Throwing the blankets from her body, Tansy slid out of bed, making her way toward a fresh cup of coffee. Today would be the longest in a while, and she honestly had no idea how it would end. She wished she did.
