Chapter 59

The Morning Show in Times Square was insane. It was made more hectic by the fact that I was unable to focus on anything said to me or my responses. The producer told me I came off as endearing and lovable, better known as an imbecile. I had no business being there-my mind hadn't been on anything but the life growing in my uterus.

"Callie, you've got to get your shit together," Hayden hissed into my ear as we made our way back to the limo.

The signing was in a few hours, and I was completely off my game. "I know. I'm sorry. You guys were awesome back there. Thank you."

Milo was totally in his element. He dug the attention from the fans, and the interviewers fed him with witty material, so he came across as a real hoot. I couldn't deny he has natural charisma, but he was just a man. A good one, but still, a man.

The backseat was not the place for a pregnant woman. The urge to vomit came on so quickly and with such vigor, I could barely grab the trashcan in time.
