I followed those harsh, cold eyes outside and one minute he was standing in front of me. Then the next second, I was being choked against another wall.
What the hell! Again?!
"Tell me everything you know, right now." He said, and for the first time, I was seriously irritated.
"Just who the hell do you think you are?" I said and pushed him away. He looked amused as if scum like me could talk. How I wanted to slap that smirk off his face.
"I will not be treated like this," I said, in a tone, I have never used before. I could hardly recognize my own voice. "I'm sick of being looked down upon, and I'm pissed you think I'm not worth your time."
I looked straight into his eyes.
"Let me get one thing straight Sasuke. You don't order me around. I have no reason to listen to you, nor am I your ally to help you."
"Is that so?" He drawled, and the way he said sent a chill down my spine.
"Then why did you die for me?" He asked, and I closed my eyes. " and don't bother lying to me saying you knew you were gonna come back to life. You knew you were going to die when you saved me. So why did you?"
Cause I love you. Cause you have so much more to do in this world. Cause without you, this world will have given up reality and would fall into illusion.
Like I'd tell him that.
"Cause I needed you to live for my plan. This is so much bigger than you and your little quest for revenge."
"What could you possibly understand about me and my revenge?" he shouts and shoves me, and pain laces through my shoulder as I hit the wall.
Idiot, I'm probably the only one who knows and understands you completely right now.
But I don't cower or pity him. Only because I know it'll only piss him off more.
"Will you stop acting like a jerk?" I say, and brush the dust off my shirt. And turn to see him as he leans closer and catches my chin. I freeze as my brain processes the fact that there are just a few centimeters of the distance between us. I dig my fingers in my palms, and the pain is the only thing that keeps me grounded as the fangirl inside me squeals and dies.
"You say you know everything about me. Then go ahead and tell me something only I would know," he says and I tilt my head. Huh, that's not what I was expecting but... I smile.
One word.
"Kirin," I said, and satisfaction wells up inside me as I see his eyes widen.
Kirin is the ultimate secret technique that Sasuke was working on, to destroy Itachi in one blow. There was no way I could possibly know that, unless I knew what happened in their fight. He looked so confused, I wanted to laugh. I leaned closer and whispered in his ear.
You're not the only one who knows how to intimidate people.
"Are you okay, scaredy-cat?" I say, echoing his words to Naruto years back, and walk away, leaving him frozen in the night's cold wind.
