Cath

My eyes almost bulged out of my eyes as soon as I heard that question. She was smiling the whole time so, I don't really know what to make of her. Obviously, she being his girl friend, I know that she isn't happy with what happened between me and Gavin, and that is why her smile is really creeping me out.

"Excuse me?" I coughed out, and she just straight out laughed at me.

"Come on, Cath. Gavin already told me everything. You don't have to feel weird talking to me about it." she said, the smile not leaving her face. My throat suddenly felt so dry, making me take a swig o water.

"Sorry. It was an accident. I didn't mean to step my boundaries. I really am very sorry. We both didn't want anything to happen. I would never want to offend you or anything." I explained, her expression then turn sour, almost confused. Then she cut me off, as I continued to apologize.

"What do you mean by stepping your boundaries? Am I missing something?" She asked curiously, and now, it was my turn to be confused.

"I mean. I don't want to be a cause of your misunderstanding with Sir Mitchel. I know he wouldn't do anything to hurt you on purpose." I hesitantly said to her.

"In under what circumstance would I get hurt because you kissed Gavin?" She asked again and she actually made me rethink what she means. Do they have an open relationship? That's why she's being so cool about this? Or maybe she one of those people who kinds has a thing with seeing their partner with someone else.

I just looked at her, not knowing what to say. I don't know if she's seriously being cool with her boy friend kissing another girl, let alone a co-worker working directly under him. She looked back at me, and as if she was suddenly hit by the truth, her eyes widened, her mouth gapped open and she looked as if she was about to vomit.

"Did you think that I was dating Gavin?" She spat out, as if those words in a sentence is the most horrible thing she ever heard of. I shyly nodded in response to her, not know how to react to her sudden change in mood.

"Oh my gosh! Ew! Does everyone in the office think that way?" She asked and I just nodded again. This time she responded with a hearty laugh. I don't know where this conversation is going and I don't even know if I would like the outcome or not. After a few more seconds, she managed have her laugher under control, she looked at me with amusement dancing in her eyes that seems oh so familiar to me.

"I'm not Gavin's girlfriend." she stated, making my eyes almost pop out from their socket.

"I'm his sister. Twin to be exact."

"What?" Andrea screamed as soon as I told her about the crazy lunch I just had.

"Twin? Are you sure you heard her right?" She asked and I just nodded.

"Yes. I definitely heard her right. We actually talked about it through out lunch." I replied.

"Cath? Sir Mitchel wants to see you in his office." I jumped out of my seat as I heard Kyla's voice from behind me.

"Ah. Yes. Thank you." I replied to her and followed her to Gavin's office.

I looked back at Andrea and she just gave me two thumbs up as she got back to her desk.

My heart started pounding so fast as soon as I got in front of his office's door. I wanted to flea but my feet won't allow me to, instead it went forward to where he was waiting for me.

"You called Sir?" I said as I peaked inside his office.

"Come in, Cath. I hope I wasn't interrupt you." He said as he motioned for me to sit down in the chair in front of him.

"Its okay sir. What did you want to discuss with me?" I immediately asked, not wanting to have an awkward silence between us.

"I-umm. I mean." It was the first time I've seen his confidence buckle. He stuttered through his words, not even knowing how to begin our conversation. I just stared at him, not wanting to say anything inappropriate. He then cleared his throat and regained his confidence as fast as he lost it and stared straight to my eyes.

"I heard from Gabriela that you went to lunch together. I don't want to pry about what you two did but I do want to apologize if ever my sister has annoyed you or was out of bounds in your conversation." He finally said. Although, I've known that they're siblings, it was still shocking coming from him.

"Don't worry about it sir. Miss Gabriela is a pleasure to accompany." I said with in the highest confidence.

Although, I was shocked at the start of our lunch together, it actually went well. She was far from what U imagined her to be. She was down to earth, and really game for anything. She's also a good listener and a good story teller.

"Speaking of Miss Gabriela, you never told me she was your sister. I mean, not that it was any of my concern but I would have been great information." I said to him, picking out my words, to not sound weird or to offend him in any way. In contrary, a hint of amusement lingered in his face and I knew why Gabriela's amused expression seems so familiar to me. It was the same expression her brother has every time he finds something interesting. How could I miss that?

"Sorry about that. I just assumed that everyone would know that we're twins. I never really imagined everyone to think that we were dating." He said almost laugh at the absurdity of the thought that he would ever date her sister.

"Believe me! Even if we weren't related, I would never go for her. She is such a big pain to deal with." he continued, giving me his knee-buckling smile.

I could feel my face heat up with just the sight of his smile and I know that he noticed this. He stood up from his chair and came around my side sitting at the chair just in front of me and dragging it closer to mine.

"About what happened inside the elevator, I don't want us to be weird about it. I hope I didn't came out as a weirdo for kissing you without any warning. I know after what happened with that security guard, you might feel like I've taken advantage of you, so I would really like to apologize for my actions." He explained, trying to maintain a very manageable distance between us.

"Its no problem Sir. It was equally both our faults. I guess we were just caught up in the moment." I replied to him, giving him an encouraging smile.

"So we're good?" He asked and I just nodded in response to him.

"If you don't mind sir, I think I should get back to my station, I still have things to finish." I said to him, asking for his permission.

"Yeah, sure." He agreed, standing up from the chair he was sitting on and putting it back to its original position before heading back to his chair.

"Cath?" He called out before I open the door.

"Yes?" I asked looking back at him, wondering what more he wants to say to me.

"Its feels great to be able to talk to you again like this." He said with a big smile on his face that I returned.

"Yeah it is, Gavin." I replied before heading out of the door.

"Looks like someone is in a good mood." Andrea said as soon as I reached my desk.

"What are you talking about Dre." I said to her, but her teasing smile just wouldn't leave her face.

"I'm talking about that idiotic grin spread across your face since you left Sir Mitchel's office. Did you guys went for round two in there?" She asked, making me blush like crazy. My face felt like it was about to explode.

"Stop it. Nothing happened okay? We just talked." I said to her trying to shoo her away from my desk. She made face at me, but eventually her expression returned to her annoying smile. I knew then that this was not the end of that conversation and that I have to prepare myself for the worst interrogation yet.

To be honest, I don't even know why I'm smiling like an idiot right now. I can feel my cheeks hurting but I just can't stop myself from doing it. At first, I may have been confused with the revelation today but right now, I somehow feel relieved and frankly, happy. Is this really happening? Am I really falling for my boss?
