Now, Rose has gained consciousness. So, Dev needed a room for her to stay. The clinic was only big enough for him to stay, and Lily didn't need more space.

He booked a room for her in the Inn closest to the clinic. Rose needed some time to accept the fact that her mother is dead. So, he gave her enough space to simplify things.

The following days were simple for him. He'll meditate for 3 hours early in the morning, every day. After meditating, he'll open the clinic and treat the patients if he gets any until the evening. After that, he'll meet Rose and have dinner with her. He also found a new use of Prana. He would massage Lily every day and transfer some of his Prana. The change was clearly visible.

Today when he started meditating to regain Prana, he lost during the treatment. He suddenly found the energy in the surrounding going berserk. Lily was sleeping peacefully after the massage. When she suddenly got woken up by the berserk energy in the clinic. She hissed at him for ruining her sleep. But he didn't have the time to check on her.

The process continued for a while. Having gone through this, Dev had the impression that he had become more powerful. He felt energized even though he has treated patients today, and his remaining energy was close to zero.

He had a feeling that right now, he had a breakthrough. He didn't get all his hopes up until he could be sure. He thought of the status. Suddenly a black screen with white fonts appeared in front of him:

He clenched his fists in jubilation after seeing the breakthrough. He was shocked to see such exponential growth in every attribute of his, especially Prana. There was an immense increase in his Prana. There was also an addition to his skill menu.

The system finally deemed his archery as primary. Healing Prana was also added to his skill.

He finally had reached the level where he couldn't continue anymore without a meditation art. He didn't have enough money to buy even the worst kind of meditation art.

He was thinking of ways to obtain meditation art when suddenly, he remembered that Olivers had given Rose a meditation art as a dowry. He didn't want to ask her about the meditation art, but he had no other choice. It'll take a long time for him to earn that much gold.

He has another option. He could go and hunt beasts. Not only gold, demon cores can buy meditation art too. But, it was very dangerous, and he didn't want to put himself at risk currently.

His two choices were either to wait and earn enough money or ask Rose. He chose Rose.

He picked up Lily and went toward the inn Rose stayed at. He knocked on the door. It didn't take long for the door to open.

Rose was getting better as days passed. She wouldn't smile or joke around, but now, she would have conversations with Dev.

"How are you?" The first thing Dev asked after entering Rose's room.

"It's all good. I'll be fine in a few days," Rose responded.

He smiled, and said, "Take as much time as you want. You don't have to worry about anything."

"Sorry for worrying you. You already have your own worries and, here I've added myself as a worry too," Rose responded, sighing.

"What are you talking about? As long as I am here, you don't have to worry at all. Now, shut up, and let's eat dinner," He responded.

"Sshh"

Rose tried to say something, but Dev shushed her. They ate their dinner. Rose and Dev had vegetable curry, whereas Lily had the meat of a beast. A large part of his spending was on the flesh for Lily.

After dinner,

"I know, I've always said 'Take as much time as you want'. Even before dinner, I said this. But, you can't go on like this. You've to move on with the fact that Serena is gone,"

"Didn't you vow to kill your father?"

"Are you gonna kill him by sitting here all day?"

"I may be harsh here. But, you can't do anything by mourning your mother all day. You've to channel everything to motivate yourself for revenge,"

"For what it's worth, she chose to sacrifice so that you could have a better life, and you are not doing a great job,"

"Whether you do it or not, I will destroy the Churchills. So, either you can sit all day or help me with that,"

He went on with his monologue for a while. Rose listened to everything without disturbing him. He took a big breath after speaking his mind.

"I know. Everything you're saying is correct. But, I can't just forget my mother's death," She said in response.

"Who told you to forget about your mother's death? I am telling you to learn to live with the fact that your mother is dead. I know. I'm pretty insensitive here. But, I can't let you ruin her sacrifice," He said sternly.

"But-"

"No buts, Tell me exactly, how many days do you need?" He cut her off and asked her.

She fell silent. After thinking for some time, she said, "I can't say the exact time. But, I won't sit for long."

"I'll take your words for now. I just want to see you trying, not giving up," He smiled and responded.

They both fell silent after that. The silence was broken by Lily when she knocked down the lamp near the bed.

Dev tried to take a chance, and he asked, "I wanted a favor from you."

"What favor?" Rose exclaimed.

"What I'm gonna ask for is an enormous favor. You don't have to accept it if you don't want to," He responded.

Rose was confused, she had no idea what she could give to Dev. So, she asked, "Will you tell me what favors you need from me?"

"I've reached the threshold for reaching Level 1. I only need a meditation art for the breakthrough. In your story, you told me that you got a meditation art as a dowry. I wanted to ask you if I can have that meditation art," He told her, nervously.
