"What carefree is that? And it sounds like you knew the beginning what the purpose of the Frostbite Knights was."
"The story is complicated, but for now, let's start with this and move on. And it seems that those people only know that you are Derkaid and do not know your real name. If I had known, I wouldn't have been able to bring only 20 knights. Unless you want to die. Then there's no need to kill him with silence, right?"
At those words, Aris' eyes widened.
"You are?"
"!?"
"You know my name, you know?"
At that question, Mirea closed her eyes in a half-moon shape and smiled.
"If you don't know, I have no reason to be here."
When Mirea answered in a light tone Aris pointed the sword at Mirea's neck.
"Aren't your words and actions too frivolous?"
Mirea asked, without showing any signs of frightened by the opponent who was emitting a ghastly life.
"Are you going to kill me too? With your mouth shut?"
Mirea tilted her head to the side where the sword touched. The wind cut her thin skin slightly.
"What are you doing?"
"Then kill me. See how it goes."
Unlike before, the expression on Mirea's face disappeared to the extent that it was terrifying.
"You don't think you can?"
"No. You think you're a do-it-yourselfer. So do it."
"Isn't your life worth it?"
"Such a waste."
"I'm not afraid of something like that."
"Well... This is a situation that I have no choice but to make because I am not yet sure."
"I do not know what I mean."
Mirea's lips rose in an arc.
"I was wondering how you are in reality, not in the rumors that circulate all the time or in the information I know. I want to know what you think and what choices you will make."
Aris saw a flash of madness in her eyes shining like olivine.
"I am not the one to satisfy your curiosity."
"Know. But did we meet like this? And you know my name, I know your name If so, it means that we can become friends in the future or other relationships. If you're curious about me, I'm happy to answer it. So if you feel like you're only satisfying my curiosity, try to make me curious too. If there is something you want to ask, please do not be too difficult and ask."
Mirea sighed a little and added.
"I think this is one of my rights."
"rights?"
"Yes, right."
At Mirea's dignified attitude, Aris snorted out of absurdity.
"Hey, who gave you the right?
"You."
Aris didn't know how to react to the words he didn't know the intention of. After Aris was silent for a moment, Mirea continued what she was saying.
"Well, in that sense, my first question. Aris, will ypu kill Mirea Janester?"
"....."
"It's not that difficult. You kill me, don't kill me, choose one or the other. Then I will give you the answer. Even if you choose to kill me, fon't worry if I'm really going to die. I don't die like that."
Also, this guy is insane. Thinking so, Aris pulled out her sword with a face that looked as if she had chewed on a gallbladder. If I continued the conversation like this, I thought only myself would lose.
"Good. Let's hear what the plan is."
Perhaps she was satisfied with Aris' choice, Mirea relaxed her expression and smiled. Then she pointed her finger at the forest.
"You said you could secure a way out."
At those words, Aris twitched one eyebrow.
"Are you telling me to cross the beast forest in this state?"
"It is right to cross that forest, but not in this state. After all, they don't care about the beast and they'll pursue it. Since they are paladins, they have the upper hand. If that's case, it's in our favor..."
Interrupting Mirea's explanation, Aris intervened.
"Then, if you can kill them all, why do you have to use your head so complicatedly? There is the surest way."
"You mean to kill all 20 paladins?"
When the same words came back from before, Mirea responded with an annoyed voice.
"Because you know who I am."
At those words, Mirea glared at Aris.
"If you knew who I was, you would have known that 20 paladins wouldn't be a problem, right?"
"I must be mistaken, but the reason I came all the way here alone is because of you. But I'm not here just to help you. I'm here to stop you from having an accident like this."
"What?"
"My mission is to get you out of the way and get you out, not to slaughter 20 paladins?! Besides, I'd rather this go on quietly without getting bigger!"
Mirea stabbed Aris in the center of his chest with her finger.
"You have the power to kill 20 people, but you also have the power not to. If you choose not to kill me, choose the latter."
"Even so, I am about to regret that decision a little."
They had a snowball fight with each other, and the confrontation was broken when Mirea released what she was wearing.
"I know their plans. And I have a plan."
What Mirea was carrying was a crossbow like mechanical device. Before Aris could examine it properly, a piller of light soared in the sky. It was divine power. The magic that spread around the pillar of light piled up like a curtain on the divine power that was protecting the village from the beasts, and soon became like a thick wall.
"So... Their first plan was to seal the village by opening a magical interference barrier that forcibly controls the flow of magic with divine power so that you can't use magic..."
Looking up at it, Aris muttered like a sigh to Mirea, whose horsetail was blurred.
"I did say it a little sooner."
"It's because I'm wrestling with you, so don't blame yourself. My first plan was to stop that!"
Aris gathered magic power in both hands. They gathered when they drew out the magic in their body, but they couldn't change into a magic trick and dispersed again. Aris clicked his tongue.
"I can't even use magic right now, so I don't think I'm going to have a face-to-face confrontation with them."
"Ok. You just have to move on to the second one!"
"Second plan?"
A gunshot was heard hitting the ear, and a bullet flew between the two of them while they were whispering.
"Found"
It happened almost at the same time that one of the knight with rifles shouted to the other horde and Mirea appeared in front of him. By the tie the knight noticed, his rifle had already been halved by Mirea' sword.
And Aris, who moved silently, cut the knight's leg from behind. Avoiding the shoulder blade of the fallen knight, Aris' sword pierced through and the blade went deep into the ground. The knight screamed in intense pain.
"I didn't kill him."
Aris said to Mirea with a calm face. Mirea looked at the article on the verge of fainting with crab foam and washing her face dry.
"No, he told me not to kill him, but this..."
"Then what? Avoid large arteries and puncture them. You won't die if you get the right treatment."
Before Mirea could say anything more, the knights came. When they saw thier comrades who had fallen to the ground, they spewed life and began to attack.
"This guy!"
"You look like you're going through the front?"
Aris grunted at Mirea, but Mirea didn't answer and ran away. He took the sword of the knight who rushed first with the sword in his left hand, and struck it down with the tip of the handle of the sword in his right hand. Then he immediately let the sword of the second knight flow and dislocated his elbow joint by hanging a joint. Even Aris could hear the sound of the bones being displaced.
"Why are doing this to me while doing more?"
As Aris muttered out of absurdity, Mirea was stabbing her sword into the third knight's crotch and kicking his rifle away. Aris thought he was going to have to put his back and watch as he fight well on his own, but he felt a presence behind him, so he bent his head to avoid the sword. And he cut the opponent's arm with his own sword.
Aris exchanged several moves with the sword that followed, but his old blade shattered with a clattering sound. The quality is not good, but since it is an old sword, the sword itself was in jeopardy no matter how much it was reinforced with a sword. As he continued to face another strong sword, he could not bear it and was damage.
"Ah, this junk doesn't help at times like this!"
Aris quickly threw away the useless sword. Thanks to this, I was in a situation where I had to deal with the three knights with my bare hands, but strangely, I did nit eel a sense of crisis.
"Write this!"
Mirea threw her rifle at Aris.
"I'm not good at shooting!"
Still, it was better than nothing, so I quickly loaded the bullet and pulled the trigger by aiming at the knight in front. All three shots fired in a beautiful way.
"That's not right! I want sword!"
Aris decided that aiming at the enemy again was just an inefficient thing to waste time and started beating the knight with the butt. As Aris and Mirea were fighting several people, the knights could not shoot. Allies could get caught up in a dog fight like this, so he pulled out his sword and rushed in.
When Aris took a breath, about ten knights were lying on the floor. Mirea took a rough breath and approached Aris, who was still standing. Then, loking down at the knight whose facial bones were under his feet and turned into blood, Mirea asked with genuinely curious face.
"Why the hell were you carrying a rifle during the day?"
"Because there is an emergency."
Mirea handed one of her dual swords to Aris.
"I don't have a spare sword. I can't use your sword because it's sensitive to my sword, but please use it well and return it."
