Just Another High School Story!

He paused for dramatic effect and this drove everyone crazy, "Leah Sanders!" he yelled. Leah took a deep breath and flashed a smile, Ethan caught this smile and pinched her as he walked up to her, "I told you to stop fake smiling, didn't I?" "What the hell are you talking about?" she asked as they both smiled, big wide smiles at the principal. Leah was getting her badge pinned on, when suddenly her mind went blank. She fainted and before she could hit the ground, Ethan caught her, protecting her.

After fifteen minutes passed, she woke up in the nurses office, "I see you a lot here nowadays, don't I?" the nurse said as she smiled, "You fainted because of low sugar levels, it seems you're not eating enough, what's wrong girl?" she finished with a concerned look on her face. Leah held her head in her hands as she felt dizzy and before she could reach out for the water, Ethan walked into the room, with a water bottle and a 'sandwich'. "I'm sorry about the trouble!" she muttered as she quickly leapt from the bed and left the room, E followed behind, calmly, as they were walking, he dragged her into the newsroom, and pinned her against the wall, "You're standing too close to me." She muttered as he pressed down harder, his hands tightly locking her wrists in place, "I won't let you go until you've had breakfast." He said matter-of-fact, and slowly let go, locking the door, lest someone should see the Head Boy and Head Girl sharing a meal, not just a meal, a full on k-drama moment.

Having been in the school for just a couple of days, Ethan had seen and realised a lot of things, Leah did not like being talked about, at least when what people were saying was baseless, second, she hated food and fat, talking about body shapes, models, it made her uncomfortable, and though she made a conscious effort to hide herself, Ethan saw right through her as if peering through glass, her personality was so clear to him, she was dedicated and so Ethan needed to be hard on her, if he was the reason she had become messed up, he would help her clean up the mess and get her out of it. Leah looked at the food on the table, even though it was just a sandwich, she counted calories and thought about it, "Bread, cucumber, tomatoes... what bread is that, how many cals?" She mused to herself and irritably replied to Ethan, "Who the hell do you think you are? Since the past couple of days, you've been acting cocky, don't act like you know who I am! Besides I've already had breakfast." she lied and yelled, looking down at the floor, no one had ever asked her about breakfast before so she didn't have to lie, but now Ethan was becoming impertinent as seconds passed, "I've kidnapped you and plan to hold you hostage until my request is fulfilled. Oh did you see your badge properly head girl?" When Leah finally remembered that she didn't have a good look at the badge, she started to take it off to look at it, Ethan gently picked up the sandwich and while Leah was busy admiring her new title and shiny badge, Ethan stuffed Leah's mouth with the sandwich, he didn't put the whole sandwich in, he put half of it into her mouth, and just as she was recovering from this shock, he bit off the other half with his mouth, she immediately screamed, and he was licking his lips in satisfaction. "I felt a little hungry so I ate the other half." Ethan was really happy with the way things had turned out, he could be with Leah every moment of the day, an excuse had presented itself to him, he was not at all interested in signing up for head boy, but when he heard that Leah was planning to sign up for it too, he at once put in his name, he was sure he would win, 'cool guy arrogance' which was usually right. Leah sighed in relief as Ethan ate the other half of the sandwich but was disgusted by the fact that he ate it like that, "What the hell? Aren't you disgusted, you stuffed half of it into my mouth, and then bit into it while it was stuffed in, with your mouth, you're an animal." Chew softly and properly." E commanded, there was something in the way his voice sounded to her ears, it was pleasant, coaxing, not mean, for a change, Leah was used to her parents yelling at her about having food, her dad forced her to eat and her mom teased her saying she didn't need to, she was fat enough. This was the first time, someone had prepared breakfast for her. "Oh, starting from tomorrow, I'll walk you to and from your home." He said to her, she almost choked on the heavenly sandwich, she didn't want to admit it but she was very hungry, if you counted the hours that she had not eaten since yesterday, it would probably be more than fifteen hours. This was madness and she knew that she shouldn't starve herself but every bite she took was filled with guilt. Therefore, not eating was the only option, but it made her just as miserable. "Why the hell are you planing to become my chauffeur?" She asked, evidently amused by the sudden proposal. She thought he was joking but to her surprise he said, "I thought that we could become a good Head Boy and Head Girl by planning a lot and you can think well when you walk." He said, hoping this excuse would work, "You...", she began and he immediately started scrambling around for other excuses in his brain, "Wow, you think so too. Right?" She asked and he was elated, "Did she wanna walk with him? he thought but was immediately pulled back to reality when she said, "Thinking is so easy when you walk, so many ideas flow out as if clouds clear the path that was already in front of you." She gave him a thumbs up and said, "Awesome idea!". She was definitely planning to change the room, shake it up and cause an upheaval.

Wilson's High was a brilliant high school, just like every high school is on the surface, but inside it was rotten and the system was broken, bullying, body shaming, fat shaming, cyber bullying, driving students to suicide, these were all common happenings in the school. The principal had had a long talk with Leah when he'd first proposed the idea to her. She thought it was impossible beaches she was younger than most but then she realised that she could make the middle school, high school, just everyone's school experience better, unlike her own. In Middle School, before break started and just after their graduation, he had summoned her and they had walked around in the park, Mr Wilson was a good natured man, the typical neighbour guy that you could always rely on, the students liked him a lot, and he loved this attention but what always bothered him was how the students behaved, for him, in his time he had his fair share of meanies and bullies, but the level of harassment and belittlement didn't seem so dangerous, so 'killer', of course he knew about the situation, he just didn't think that him intervening would cut it, since a system can be broken only from the inside, he was just an external force, he could exert pressure but not enough to reform things completely; he believed that only a young person, with true power to see other's pain can change them. So he'd entreated her to prepare herself, "Try for head girl," he'd entreated, "No one is better fitted for the role." he'd added.
