Just Another High School Story!

All these years, Ethan had felt lonely, and finally he felt like he had someone, he felt whole.

Leah was burdened by the thought that Ethan was helping her so much, and she wasn't doing anything for him, at least, these were the thoughts that were crowding her already packed head. But she was wrong, she gave Ethan the warmth, he so longed for, she was like his own sun, and even though Leah couldn't see the light that she radiated, Ethan did and appreciated it. He had planned to cherish this girl forever. Later, he wished that they had just ditched school that day, if only!!

Leah came out of the shower, singing the post chorus, and nervously stopped at the door, when she saw Ethan, sitting there waiting for her, she was drying her hair, and Ethan stiffened. He didn't know what this feeling was, this crazy throbbing in his chest, his heart raced when he saw Leah like this, she looked so mesmerising. The perfect word. Leah wore a pink hoodie, which read, "You'll get there!" She'd customised these hoodies on an online website and ordered them. She wanted to wear meaningful clothes. As she sat down in front of Ethan, on his bed, she was trying to wear her bracelet, the bracelet that she and Linda had bought together. The charm was a beautiful unicorn head. Linda had picked Leah's and said that Leah was like a magical unicorn to her, too unreal. She used to love Leah but now, what about now, Leah thought about this and it made her sad. Why had they, the most loving sisters ever even fallen apart. And why was this question so hard to answer, after all, they saw each other every day. Leah wanted to barge into Linda's room, and lift her off the bed, and throw her stuff back into their old room. They'd made so many memories together. Leah didn't like her life without Linda. 'What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger though'. Always remember that. It is true.

Leah was struggling to get the bracelet on, and she'd had a bad feeling about going to school today, but she didn't want to jinx herself. So she decided to ignore whatever she felt, and tried to let it go, thinking it was just her imagination making up stories. Ethan grabbed the bracelet, put it on her wrist, and took her towel from her her, to dry her hair, he softly patted her hair and then they began playing around, she started tickling him, and this was the best feeling she'd ever had. Someone was pampering her. Leah had a strict mom, and so she'd grown up too soon. It was too sad, at the time, she resented tough love, but later in life, Leah would realise that her mother had always meant well. And they'd become the closest unit their ever existed.

Ethan was the first boyfriend, Leah had ever had but they were already so serious, after all, you wouldn't say 'I love you' jokingly. She wanted advice, she wanted to talk to someone about how awesome Ethan is, how great he is to her, she wanted to ask questions about what dresses she should wear, what she looked cute in, and the like, however, a cold shiver went down her spine, she realised, she didn't have anyone to go to. Since their mother lived apart from them, she wouldn't ever really see her enough to talk about the little things. We often pay no mind to the little things, but as we grow up, we realise that little things are what make us, our smiles, that joke you laughed at but now think is really stupid, the clothes you once thought were so cool but as time passes on, you realise that you looked like a clown, these little things matter so much that without them, you wouldn't have memories, or happiness, you wouldn't smile about your stupidity, you'd feel more stupid. Yet, as humans we tend to enjoy thees infinitesimal things, they feel unreal but as time passes, they become tangible, reliable, you can turn to them when you want, seek comfort in past pleasures. After all, there is no one in the world who doesn't need a little, it-is-going-to-be-okay reminder.

After cuddling and playing around for a while, they left for school; Leah had had breakfast with Ethan. And she wanted to throw it up. She felt sick on the inside, but tried to hold it in, for Ethan's sake, she didn't even consider the physical pain she was feeling, as she tried to suppress the urge to throw it up, and swallowed the acid reflux back down, as if it was nothing, but she was really in pain, but she shouldered it alone, sometimes, you feel like you want to be strong for someone other than yourself. This was part of her recovery and Ethan knew what she was suffering, though he didn't have personal experience, he'd went to group meetings of kids with ED's and there, he'd heard them talk about their struggles, we teenagers have to go through a lot every day, but we manage to not only get by, but crush all our obstacles. And in today's busy world, I bet you don't hear this enough, I'm really proud of you, well done! Even if you're not a teenager, whomever you are, you're amazing!

Back to the story though, as they say, "To each their own." Though Ethan was trying his best on Leah's behalf, he couldn't possibly ever fully understand her urge to throw up, and this would frustrate him soon enough.

When they pull into the school parking lot, together, Leah took a deep breath, ever since their last broadcast, she'd been getting looks from people-- there were two kinds of people staring at her, the first kind, the popular kind, Mindy and her minions, they wanted to devour her alive and she knew it, if looks could kill, this time, seriously, theirs would, 100, no wait, 1000%. The second kind, looks of gratitude, she'd gotten so many Instagram messages from her 'friends', that she felt overwhelmed, she'd turned the whole school upside down, now her dating Ethan would surely cause another ruckus.
