Just Another High School Story!

She was cleaning his wounds, when he suddenly yelped, "Serves you right!" Leah said, but started blowing on it immediately, Ethan couldn't focus on the pain at all, in that moment, all he could see was that the girl's face was really close to his, too close, he could feel her breath, as she tried to ease his pain, in that instant, he had the urge to kiss her... the length of this day was killing her and him too, they both couldn't wait for the new moon to come visit them. They both had something super important to say to each other. A beautiful and a blasphemous moment awaited them.

She finished taping him up, you could say, there were almost too many bandaids on his face, she hated just one thing, he was hurt because of her, otherwise, she knew now, she could never be uselessly polite, if someone is making you uncomfortable, don't smile 'politely', tell them, voice your thoughts, people can't possibly know your thoughts, it is your responsibility to look after you, you don't have to be hostile right from the start, be polite but express your disapprobation, your discomfort, our parents have raised us to be polite, and smile, but we don't live in the movies, we have to survive in real life, just because someone is older than you doesn't mean they deserve respect, if they behave absurdly, you shouldn't have to ignore it. Be honest, be real, and most importantly, if you are a person who doesn't voice their thoughts often, try, it doesn't hurt to protect yourself. Being cautious isn't being 'boring' either, better avoid tragedies than be cool as a Ferrari, right?

Leah had learnt another lesson, she would never take these things again, when guys 'checked' her out, like many girls or guys, she felt guilty and looked down, wondering whether it was her fault for wearing clothes that were tight, but she liked things that hugged her skin, just like some people like things that don't, if wearing baggy clothes is okay, shouldn't wearing clothes of your choice be okay as well? Your clothes aren't at fault, our attitude towards incidents is, the victim and the assailant are almost always mixed up, why, you may ask, why else? It is because those who bark the loudest are heard, after making her uncomfortable, Erik tried to make a scene, everyone does that, every creepy pervert, therefore, if you are a person being attacked, don't take the defensive stance, don't become the assailant, if you know you are the victim, so many people are forced to swallow their words, became we have been told since we could not even speak, a mantra that rings in every house, through gestures, situations, mindsets, 'it is better to settle things quietly', or 'what will the neighbour who lives four houses over, and probably doesn't even know you, say?" Or a pretty popular one, "it was your fault", we have always been told that things are our faults, never explained why, but we just accept it, if someone says that I'm wrong, then I could never be right, but these teaching should go to the gutter, true wisdom doesn't lie in telling the kids what not to do, or as kids, never listening to your parents, the balance is simple, you just need to ask 'why',and they have to explain, then when they do and you don't listen, that becomes the child's responsibility, but don't just ban everything from your child's life just because you know it is dangerous for them, nowadays, we have forgotten that we need communication, we usually communicate with emojis and then, in real life, can not control our expressions, at times like those, we wonder, what could be the possible reason for poor "expression", the reason is simple, you do not use your voice anymore, of course, your vocal cords are swollen, and not in healthy shape, talking can solve bigger problems, therefore, we should talk about things that we feel, not only will the world become real, you will get to know yourself, you will get to see who you are really are, your weaknesses, your flaws, you will see yourself as the enemy, try to get to know yourself better, defeat 'yourself' and be reborn. Rebirth, after all, always comes after having been burnt in ashes.

Mindy had witnessed the scene earlier, it felt like her anxiety was killing her, she had always been really popular in Middle school, then she transferred to Wilson's High, where the competition was stronger than that between trainees in South Korea, at least, they sympathise with each other, she was under pressure since the beginning of the year, and then came blow after blow, one by one, she lost things to Leah; the person who was getting things was unhappy and sick, and so was the girl who was longing for them, Mindy, like many teenagers nowadays, was falling into depression, she had bipolar, she had surpassed the urge to literally kill Leah, for too long, she couldn't hold it in anymore, if she continued to stand by idly, do nothing, she was probably digging her own grave, and with such confusion came trouble.

Teenagers' minds are really complicated and so are mental disorders, people are often ashamed of going to facilities, some people diss therapy, and make jokes about people that do want to take care of their mental health, you aren't crazy if you go to therapy, and you aren't a weirdo if you feel unwell, we all do, shit happens sometimes, it gets too hard, you don't have to face it alone, even talking to a stranger can help, but Mindy had always been told, "She was awesome. She was beautiful." Compliments rained on her like a heavy downpour, the dazzle was really uplifting, but living under the pressure of being the 'perfect girl' is never easy, it is not something that can be changed unless we really address it first, their are mean people, and meek people, our personalities and interpretations are really different from each others, so what looked like a banana to someone could look like a pineapple to you, it isn't your fault, that's why 'you' are not 'her' or 'him', or 'them', you are you... you have got to understand that.

You have a purpose, it is not 'imitation', it's 'identification', nowadays, in a world of too much noise, some people find out who they really are in a crowd, while others take to resignation, and solitude, they reach out to their soul for the answer, the answer differs for everyone and so does the method, you have got one job, 'live, love, laugh', I know it is never easy, but for your own sake, don't waste your time faking things for someone, happiness isn't something you sit back and wait for, Selena Gomez, a beautiful woman, a strong woman, and an accomplished one has put it perfectly, that 'happiness isn't something you sit back and wait for', when you receive a blow, don't act lazy, don't slack off, it feels like we are done for but we aren't, take a break, you're just tired and in need of rest, but get back up, the race continues because as I have said a hundred times before, I'll reiterate shamelessly, "You're always running against yourself!", so basically, you have to keep beating yourself, you can't tap out, sure you can sit, but you. can't leave or run backwards, since you'll have to run and catch up again, why double the trouble? As we continue to live in a world of 'no' opinions, and 'less' intellectuals, my ambition through this novel is to help you, to inspire you.

Just like Leah, you have to be brave, overcome your weaknesses, work until you get it right, because one day you will! The option that says 'Stop' doesn't exist for us, there are only two buttons, "Resume", or "Play", you can pause for moments, take a breather, but the q-word doesn't exist.
